The example that comes to mind is my cousin, who randomly visits people on a whim. If he's contagious with an illness of some sort, I'm going to get sick if he randomly visits me.
...if she had taken all the time/effort she has trying to get her money back and just wrote her paper in the first place.
Company is a bit of a scumbag for this move though, there really is no person in the right in this story.
...where I can read an article about the government doing something, ANYTHING without facepalming.
Unfortunately, I don't see this ever becoming a reality.
The music industry has flat out sucked the past few years. What's good to download? Another iteration of kids bop? That beaver kid? Another Disney star soon to become a drug addict?
This might come as a huge shock to these fellas, but there's usually reasons behind delays.
For example, translating Japanese to English can't be done in a snap of your fingers, why force the Japanese audience to wait for an English translation they don't need?
I recognize people by their voices more so than any other human feature, and I have met a few people who I swear have the exact same vocal pattern.
Granted, I'm not a machine so I have my flaws, but I would be worried about how accurate this machine would be.
I've lost count of how many people have told me throughout the years "Technology X has changed my life forever! You'll never need your Technology Y ever again!"
I always enjoy coming back to those people 5-10 years later going "Hey, what ever happened to that lovely Technology X you were crazy about? I still have my Technology Y!"
My PSP I bought used, so I wasn't aware that this was an irregular time, the person I bought it from said he had just replaced the battery.
I suppose I should buy a new battery then, thank you guys for your heads up.
This is what I was thinking as well. The only issue that they'll complain about there is changing batteries requires you to input all of your profile information again, unless they somehow changed that in these newer ones.
4.5 hours is still about 4 times what I get on my laptop, and twice what I get on my PSP.
Not to mention I'm a loser and have access to electrical outlets almost 24/7
A country infamous for their "great firewall" screws with yet another service.
Be honest, the service being screwed with (Google) is the only reason this is a headline.
Growing up, I dreamed of doing nothing but programming/coding.
Now? Not so much. I still program in my spare time or the rare instances my work requires it, but I never went to school for it.
My uncle is in that field, and the older I got the more he struggled for a decent job. I don't talk to him as often as I'd like, so I honestly don't have a clue what he does now.
So yes, thanks company XYZ for shipping your jobs overseas, but hey, you saved that $1, so what do you care.
I wouldn't be surprised if that's next.
I've lost count of how many bloggers have been sued for...well...blogging.
America has such thin skin as of late.
I think you're confusing our "real world" with an "ideal world"
In your ideal world, half of my apartment would have had a nice chat with officers I've called.
But this is reality, and officers would just laugh at me if I called for something so trivial.
So instead I just act like an adult and ignore them, moving on with my life.
...finding more ways to charge you more for the same service you've had for years.
Hey ISPs? I've got a mind blowing idea, how about you ACTUALLY IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE to keep up with today's standards, instead of trying to live by the standards of the 90s.
What this guy did, or the fact there's actually a slingshot channel. It almost makes me want cable again. Almost.
...looks like Samsung joins a long list of companies I refuse to buy from.
Granted, the first thing I did when I took it out of the box was update it, so perhaps that's why.
Please go die, and stop crying every time you don't make enough money on the backs of underpaid artists.
This is kind of how I see this in my head.
Humans = Unpredictable
Humans = Virus/Disease/Etc Spreaders

Who else stopped reading as soon as it said "According to Symantec"?
"If you want to play the same games, just get a XBOX 360 and drop PS3."
Easier said than done, thanks for the typical useless fanboy advice.
"They have the same games anyway"
Little big planet, which is the reason I have a ps3? Not on 360.
"360 is a better console"
Haha, no, each console has their strong points. To think otherwise clearly shows your fanboyism.
"especially with Kinect"
I barf in your general direction sir.

For every site you have to pay to get something online, not just information, there's at least 10 more that will give it to you for free.

You don't teach a child to swim by teaching them how to avoid water.
These kids are going to drown when the real world comes knocking on their door.

Parents shocked when kids buy in game purchases using the password they leave written on the fridge, parents demand retinal scanner for purchases.
