    Yes indeed: Until Netscape 3, it was the reference, then it got equaled by MSIE. It remained used as the non-MS alternative but since Mozilla, Phoenix/Firebird/Firefox and Opera, there's no place for it anymore, also because it's not even supposed to be anything else than a re-branded OpenSource product.
    I guess Firefox was the best we could obtain and also the last positive thing Netscape could have done.

    The Corona guy asks the barman: "I'm gona take the tastiest beer in the world : a Corona".

    The Heineken man goes: "An Heineken, or nothing !"
    The Leffe man then asks: "Give me a glass of Diet Coke, please"
    Then the others: "Why don't you order a Leffe ?"
    Answer: "Comrades, if you don't want to drink beer, I won't either"

    I agree, it's some kind of ergonomically reshaped mouse but it's still a mouse.
    It kinda reminds me of Microsoft Natural Keyboard... If it had been THAT revolutionariy, everybody would have gotten one nowadays.

    Actually my position is that I value purity more than gratuity.
    I would pay to avoid ads but I would no pay more if my adless connection were to become adfull.

    He distributed non-ready software : in other words, his Tiger distro is already obsolete.
    I suggest the following :
    1. Apple folks leave him alone and eventually revoke his ADC membership
    2. They begin a reward scheme, randomly offering thingies (.Mac, softs... : things that don't have much material value -software is easily reproductible- but that people will like to show off) to some clients so that it will incitate others to buy more stuff from them
    3. They get a nicer image
    4. They profit

    It's not Free if you have to rely on your provider to throttle your bandwidth by flooding you with ads.
    I am somehow anxious to see that one has to pay the big bucks to avoid an over-commercial situation.

    The iPod feature a sync functionality which makes it a read only handheld.
    Aren't there more iPod than CE handhelds ?
    This'd make the iPodOS the 1st handheld OS.

    If you have access to the physical device, it becomes possible to simulate an FS on top of your data stream... unless it's encrypted, of course.
