A good example is adobe applications, yeah gimp v2 might be nice to run for me, I don't do alot of advanced stuff, but photoshop is still better. Also you have to remember gaming can be done with wine, I've used it a few times to play a round or two of counter strike, and I hear it can run other games like WOW.

So you have an HD-TV thats great, but you have to remember that alot of people don't have HD-TV and if your not playing an XBOX 360 on an HD-TV it levels the playing field a little bit. You also have to stop at some point and start thinking of new ways to advance a console, make it different and stand out from the rest, make it more and more real. Graphics are a big part of this but they arn't the only way to go. Motion sensors are going to be a huge part of gaming in the future, but not all games will translate to it. I think the biggest problem that pluegs a new controller system is that its over used or not used correctly, I think developers will have growing pains with the wiimote and how to use it. I don't know why nintendo didn't update the power of the wii, it may hurt it later on when titles will run on the PS3 and xbox360 but not the wii because it can't render the graphics(but only time will tell).

If someone says that if they upped the graphics on the Wii it would cost as much as a 360 or PS2 remember this, the wii is one of the few conosoles in recent years to be sold at a profit. If nintendo had sold it to break even or even loose money on the system like other manufatures did it could still sell for about the same with a few small graphics improvements. On that note as well if it is a simular model to the game cube I think you would have to face facts that manufaturing costs wouldn't go down as much as if you created a completely new system.

In the end out of the 360 and wii(the only two I've played) I much prefer the wii.

Chances are that a user that knows about wine will know how to go through that process and set it up. Why would you setup a system with wine so that you would have users wondering why their applications are starting to install but not finishing, crashing, or just don't work after the install. If you know how to use wine thats great, if you don't know you probably should hold off on it. I'm not trying to be pompus but it can be hard to get some applications to work on it, its not the easiest tool to use(hence if you can't install it you should double think about it) and its not to the point where it works perfectly.

If I was selling a system, I wouldn't want to add something that would make it not look as good. Some people will say that not having it will make it look bad because office, some games and such won't work. I think you would be better off to go with cedega with games because theres a big database of games that work with it, its more user friendly. I wouldn't be suprised if at some point Dell doesn't cut a deal where they sell subscriptions to cedega.

All states other than North Carolina permit citizen arrests if a felony crime is witnessed by the citizen carrying out the arrest, or when a citizen is asked to help apprehend a suspect by the police. The application of state laws varies widely with respect to misdemeanor crimes, breaches of the peace, and felonies not witnessed by the arresting party. Note particularly that American citizens do not have the authorities or the legal protections of the police, and are strictly liable before both the civil law and criminal law for any violation of the rights of another.[6] In the United States, the police do not have to determine the legality of the citizens arrest and this practice has been greatly criticized

This is because laws and such in an army are different if I'm correct(once again correct me if I'm wrong) so normal rights and privilages do not apply. Like quiting the day before an attack. You could be court marshalled or what ever they do. If you quit your job the day before a presentation thats no big deal. The stakes and such are different in the army and you are subject to different laws and standards. You can't shoot your enemy at work, if you do you could go to jail. Rights in the army are backwards, and for good reason.

Now the warning flag goes off you don't go have a meeting about disaplinary actions. You have a meeting with the school counceler. You get the student help, if help is refused then you might want to seek some other means to communicate with the student or talk to the parents. If this doesn't work then maybe escalate it higher.

It sounds like the student in this case was not even told about the concerns in the paper, I'm sure this has to do with the recent school shooting. I mean a school teacher felt there was something wrong and had them removed. Good decision, at that point there is no need to involve the police because someone is disturbed. No one was specificly threatened in this case. But the student wasn't even talked to, he was just treated as a criminal.

    Its a sad day indeed.
If your writing your personal feelings and handing them in I believe that you are reaching out. The teacher pulled away from the student and betrayed them. Thats the saddest thing you could do. Giving the student some one on one time might have been all he needed. I'm sure that there are millions of students that have gone out and wrote things that could be taken the same way this one was. Only a small percentage of that percentage ever escalate their fealings in the real world. Most of those might have been able to get help if the person reached out to them.

This is because as well as your own freedom other people shouldn't have to suffer from seing your naked body go down the street. In Rhode Island it is not illegal to take money for sex as long as its not solicitated at a brothel or on the street(taken from wiki as well). So this point is invalid when stating the country wouldn't let you do that. Your state just follows the norm.

As for your last point on travel, theres not much I can say there. Your country is arguing with theirs so they won't let you go directly. A country can't have a rule that will hard its population thats just not sane. If the majority disagree whole heartily about something it will most likely eventually be changed. If you country was not free in the term that its used in. There would be no avenue for change except revolution, which by the constitution it seems to be an option as well.
