Both are already major energy providers to the rest of Europe. With Belgium and Germany shutting down their nuclear plants, both countries are going to make billions.
When Perl is well written, including indents and not jamming multiple lines all together on one line, it looks very similar to Python, but with a semicolon at the end at each line.
The problem is making your book stand out from the 1,000 other books that get published each month. It's not easy, even if you only charge 99 cents. And if 100 of those other authors are also charging 99 cents, you're pretty much screwed.
I got the email last week. I'm fine with B&N knowing what books I bought at Borders. Now maybe B&N will realize how much more I spent there because of coupons and start offering coupons themselves.
I cancelled my Facebook account a few weeks back after their last round of changes. I have no intention of using it again. Both Facebook and Google track everything you do. I think both should get nailed. In all likelihood, some Congresscritters will be paid off and this investigation will go nowhere.
Now that it's been exposed, it will hopefully be fixed very quickly. Though I wonder how many other "unknown" bugs there are that will allow someone mess with votes.
I'll be signing up and playing a Jedi of some type. I will wait a month or so after release before bothering, though. I have yet to see an MMO worth messing with during it's first month of release. After the first month, there will be less lag, less crashes, more bugs fixed, and probably more content. Let others be the guinea pigs.
I wouldn't be surprised if they are destroyed, especially if they have ever been used for any kind of military computing.
Or maybe the main scientists have some seriously kick-ass home computers.
That's one of those little carrots they include to make lawyers really happy. Everyone knows it will lead to hundreds, if not thousands, of new court cases. All of which will pay attorneys millions of dollars.
Honestly, I don't care if Borders gives my purchase history to B&N. That should be the only thing they get, though.
I shopped at both stores. It would be great if B&N would use this data to send me coupons for science fiction books!
I recommend getting an English Writing Minor to just about any college graduate (who isn't an English major). You will do more report writing than you can possibly imagine as an engineer, especially if you do anything connected with the government. Having a writing minor will get you noticed by recruiters.
That's why I said 5 years. It takes that long for people to figure out if the thing will actually work over time. As you so aptly said, Rails wasn't worth the hype.
At least a few people every year die because they go out into the boonies with a GPS and no map. The GPS puts them on some kind of goat trail, they get stuck, and then found a month later, dead.

Good point. Follow the money. I wonder if any of the politicians involved happen to be on the boards of banks?
On one hand, I expect the feds to overturn this pretty quickly. On the other hand, it might give them ideas. The love tracking citizens.

While I'm not a fan of Apple's business practices, Steve made a lot of advances in technology. RIP.

You can buy muriatic acid in just about any hardware store. It's basically hydrochloric acid.

And then you post about it here? I hope you are at a restaurant wifi. :)

Eww. You may be right.
So halfway through the sex scene, right when you're about to cum, it will switch to cows being slaughtered?
MS is finally catching up. It's only 20 years behind! I know several "IT guys" who will be lost if the UI goes away, though.
I'm glad PowerShell is getting an upgrade. It's already very good, but little tweaks can easily make it much better.

You can buy new costume parts, new archetypes, and some in-game bonuses. None are game required, just cool.

Let me know if it's still around in five years. I hope it works for these guys, but there are so many options already around, they are running uphill.
Haha! You use wikipedia as a source!
