Well, aside from it not being very nice(i.e. selling out your fellow man)....what is the downside of exporting work to India? They may not be as productive, but because they are so damn cheap to employ, you can just hire more. I know it may seem heartless, but if you looked at it from a PURELY business standpoint, what other choice is there? The point of business, at the heart of it, is to turn as big a profit as you can.

maglev seems to be all but dead in the United States
Virginia Tech has plans (and private funding) for a mag lev train around campus....it would seem its not wholey dead. Although, I dont see the point of a train on our campus, its not THAT far from end to end. I guess transporting mass amounts of people for football games would be useful though.....all 8 or so times per year.
If we went to talk about a truly DOCCUMENTED birth of flight, just look at da Vinci. Talk about an engineer.....this guy was creating solutions to problems that wouldnt exist for 100's of years. His parachute comes to mind....

Umm, the Fed is most certainly NOT owned by private banks. See, thats why private banks BORROW from the fed, and the interest rate the fed charges these banks is the basis for the intrest rates charged to consumers.

For reals....even worse, I often get spams that don't leave me any potential way of getting in contact with ANYONE. They have bogus return addys and include links to nowhere......its like they are spamming just to spam.
I could see this story happening another way.....a school invokes a policy where cruely making fun of another student would result in suspension......then a day later, we would have that little mouth taped up fellow icon detailing a story of how some stupid American school was stealing kids' free speach.
Oh, and I'm sure the Bush admin would get blamed somehow too.....
Isn't the next logical step after silicon diamond? Plenty of asian companies are already working on diamond based chips(remember, lab made diamonds are getting CHEAP and bigggeerrr)and if Intel and AMD don't get off their collective asses, they will no longer be the centers of the chip world.

The Britt was bragging to the alleged buyers (posing as Arab terrorists) how these missiles could bring down an airliner no problem. Surely his capture is a step in the right direction.....
You are good all around man except the "Corporate Welfare" part.....so called corporate wellfare creates SO many jobs....my old company...they wanted to expand but didnt have the funds....got a "corporate welfare" grant.....to build a new facility.....they were able to hire 50 or so new people (all technolgy jobs)......so not only did the tax base of the area grow (and that would pretty quickly give the state a good return on the welfare investment), but it brought good jobs to the area. And those good jobs spawned other good things in the area......and cycle goes in.....other stores open to support new people.....and so on
