It's always going to be the same. One party points to the other that is pointing back at them. It's like the only truth about politics is that no matter what we choose we still get dumped on.
he sounds sincere. and i believe what he is saying. it's kind of like when you are doing a show (theatre) and you have all these ideas you talk about and you know you can do them. but money runs short or the stage can't support the kind of thing you want or people who were involved drop out, etc.
i am glad the game is out and won't let this effect my enjoyment of it.
i do wish the save system was good. i hate the way the saves work. it forces you to take a long time playing to get to one point and sometimes forces you past that point just to save it. people are losing out with this save sysem and it would be nice if they created a way for us to download a real save system.
all in all i am enjoying the game, but am not overly impressed.
i used to start my wives sims game and put heavy metal music and horror movies on and let it run all night. she hated that. the simes would have lost almost everything and were crazy as hell the next day. i can't wait to see what i can do with the new sims. lol.
what i want to know is... can you play as a hooker? we had one hell of a conversation about that a while back and still know nothing. but it would be cool to play as a hooker... great unlockable.
hmmm... that would add new meaning to that "m" rating.
i am not understanding why more people aren't into online console gaming. most of the games have built-in voice options and you don't have to worry about upgrading and setting up video cards and voice servers and ram requirements. you just turn the game on and go.
xbox live is a wonderful service. although, i would have to say you do get quite a lot of dregs when you play with strangers. make a friends list and keep them close.
ps2... i have only played ffxi with this and i have been loving it (i prefer the ps2 verison to the pc version... see below). still play it at times. no voice though and i hate using a keyboard for talking. i want to play outbreak online... but the communication for that is horrible. i hear socom is awesome.
pc online... its fun. when you have your pc tuned to perfection and tweaked for goodness it is fun. but you are sitting in front of a computer which, to me, is a tool of work more than one of play. and i can't seem to get past that. ffxi is great multiplayer on the pc... but it is still on the pc and played in the work position. i can't have that.
this is really great news. however, i wonder what the new DVCs will cost with this technology. i have been in the market for one and now kind of want to wait and see what comes of this.
it would be so cool if they came up with a game that reflected the real world perfectly. a world where you can take any business venture that you want or do any crime that you want. where you could play multiplayer style with the rest of the world with voice communication and just do anything at all. anything, man. that would be cool as hell.
you make some very good points. but, if sega decided to release a limited release console that would be guaranteed to sell every one with limited release games (and also backward comliant with dreamcast games) that could be a little different.
then again, i have been pining for sega to get back into the console business.
i know this is going to sound a bit odd, but do you think sega would be doing better if they created another console? i love my dreamcast and know that there are so many people out there doing multiple things with it that sega would be sure to profit. also, even if they just release a few, couldn't they make money? kind of like a special edition console that can kill the big three limited to some small number that will cover costs and turn a profit. in a fantasy world, that would be the ultimate.
i am wondering if flash games count as indie games? they take quite a while to write, and every now and then you get people like shawn mcgough putting out quality product, such as shawn's dance grooves and melting mitsubishi (a revenge on mitsubishi game).
also, there is a movie called fungicide (trailer) by troubled moon films that would make a great game. when you watch it you feel like you are playing a video game without a controller. it's pretty awesome.
Think about it: The GameCube is the one platform that is mostly geared towards children. It seems no one wants to make games for it anymore which would lead me to believe that children are playing adult games. Or that adults are the majority of video gamers. I wonder what the demographics are for something like this?
Personally, I really like the system. Serious Sam: The Next Encounter will be released for it soon and I will be all over that!
Hey, this could be cool as hell. Let me know when you are ready for beta testers. Todays games, like Final Fantasy XI, are really great... but the imagination thing can be so much more powerful. Kind of like the old text bases games like Wishbringer. That was awesome!
Dude, Fungicide is the coolest! Director Dave Wascavage from Troubled Moon Films is a riot... really great guy. He helped me out with my booth (serious fix)... and we had a blast.
I can't wait till TMF releases Suburban Sasquatch! Hell, I am in it! There should be a premiere in Philly sometime in April. Email Dave for more information.
The following games are the greatest: Serious Sam, if you like being scared Fatal Frame, if you love hockey NHL Hitz, and if you love to blow away Nazis with tons of weapons Return To Caslte Wolfenstein. Check all of those games out... those are serious reviews. Oh, yea... if you love being addicted to a game and not really knowing why... check out Phantasy Star Online (I call it Phantasy Krack Online). There you go... a serious fix round-up of serious games for the XBOX. And they all totally own!
If you want to play some great Flash games online check out Shawn's Dance Grooves (online, live dance game... free) and Melting Mitsubishi (if you liked Missile Command... you are going to love Melting Mitsubishi). And they are totally free!
I am impressed that this site actually caters to people who want to read information about the industry instead of bogging everything with tons of graphics. Very nice.
I think this would be great if there were a lot more games like this online. I really, really want to see DOOM online with multiplayer. I know the Infocom games are available online which was posted at serious fix. This, I thought was really cool.
If anyone finds the DOOM online game... please let us know.
It's always going to be the same. One party points to the other that is pointing back at them. It's like the only truth about politics is that no matter what we choose we still get dumped on.
now i can actually finish the game instead of waiting for the xbox version. some of these tweaks are insane.

will this version be able to play dvds out of the box?

do you think they xbox version of doom 3 will support user mods?

I hope this thing is as good as the Philly Classic this year. That was a blast.
This new thing sounds like it could be as good as Philly Classic and E3 combined. How may of you are going? I will be there for sure!

Hope that helps.
I recently interviewed an online game maker (interview with Sean McGough ... creater of Shawn's Dance Grooves and Melting Mitsubishi) and it sounds like its a pretty fun job. A lot of work ... but once you get something that works ... he says it's a lot of fun. Especially trying to figure things out. Plus his games, Shawn's Dance Grooves (online dancing game) and Melting Mitsubishi (if you liked Missile Command ... you will love Melting Mitsubishi), are a ton of fun.
Check this out: Bush versus Saddam
I am impressed that this site actually caters to people who want to read information about the industry instead of bogging everything with tons of graphics. Very nice.
In a bad humor kind of vein: Bush vs. Saddam
Zero Wing once again.
I just want the war to be end.
