Additionally, in past seasons, Farscape had built upon its lead-in program (i.e., had more viewers than the program preceding it - a standard industry indicator of a show's success). For example, during the summer of 2001, Farscape increased 44% in ratings and 51% in households over its lead-in, The Invisible Man. However, this past summer, Farscape lost 29% of its lead-in program in terms of ratings, and 27% in households.
Based on this FarScape lost market share when SciFi cancelled I-Man. Two great campy shows work better than one.
I guess I can not understand network programming.
PS: When you go to the FarScape page... A pop-up about the cancelation appears. My guess it is still cancelled.
First: I am getting a CD-Rom server up. Then the kids games go there. So the little hands will not have to tocuh the games - just click and go.
Second: The desktop machines are Compaq IPaq - they do not have CD-Rom and Diskette. They can load from the network. So little hands can not feed the machines. And if they break it... a new image can be loaded from the main server.
Third: Desktop... Current WinME. Will be Linux using wine as can be... Else WinME image from the server into a VMWare sesson. I know this is cheating but gives me a backup, if I can not get that favorite game working.
I gave up on the SciFi Channel with the cancelation first of the I-Man then FarScape. We use to spend at least two nights watching it. Now maybe an hour per month and that is for a 2 AM old TLZone.
Why you ask? They can not place a single show of quiality on.
Their sister channel USA, was movies and first run of MONK. So they are spending money. But not on the SciFi but should be renamed the B-Movie Horrir Channel.
Since the feds are acting in the name "of the people". This may appears to large class action suite. So citzens can request not to be part of the class... then could we:
Get a sub-class to sue DOJ & Microsoft for violating the public trust and get judgement set aside.
Group of citzens to appeal the ruling for failure in addressing the concerns of the public, supplied during public comment, by adjusting the agreement to meet those concerns.
When a phone line tells you use the "website for lower fares" then yes.
My personal website does not sell, it is directed to via another mediam to selling/marketing - phone, ad (paper, tv, radio).
IF SW or United will honor the same rates in all memdiums then, yes not an issue. But they do not.
IF SW would place a single alt-tab telling the blind to use a special code with a tollfree phone to get the same dicounts. Then again no problem.
Instead they are making the blind pay more (possible) the same service because they can not use the website, because of SW own design limitations/standards.
To be in a National TV AD you have to be in the actors geld. Dave Thomas of Wendys complained about this. He gave his pay to charities.
So end the all of the people appearing in Apple's AD were paid. Most likely a stand pay for 30 second spot, plus expenses.
But does that make them less appealing. If they converted prior to Apple requesting them to do the spot, then fine. If the converted after Apple requested, then we have same issue as MS just did.
The volume of space the matter takes up could be the size of earth or bigger, but because once you cross the event horizon there is no turning back, it could be thought of as a "point". Since the math comes out "right".
Just as calculating the gravity action between two say planets use the center of there mass as the reference point of the distances between them.
Earth you saying earth then is a "point". Or is math just simpler.
The death nail of Netpliance. Built a machine for $400 and sold for $100... Service extra.
The same could be said for Replay and TiVo both boxs are being sold undervalue but it is the monthly checks that keep them working.
Had a simular problem... But got my phone at a booth at COSTCO with a COSTCO recept. COSTCO has a no question ask return policy. When I tried for 3 days to get phone to work from my home, 20 minute of connect time with only customer support, I returned it to COSTCO. They took it back.
Later, AT&T tried to collect a cancelation fee, use fee, and... Told them to call COSTCO, they set the terms. AT&T dropped it.
The otherside: Your Honor, that is ridiculous. We produced the witnesses in court. My learned opponent had the opportunity to see them, cross-examine them --
Kirk's Lawyer: all but one! The most devastating witness against my client is not a human being. It's a machine, an information system. The computer log of the Enterprise.

OGR does not work for my systems. One system got a Node and processed for over a week before I turned it off and got it back to dnet. So, what is next?
Right now I am powerdown systems that ran for two extra months becuase of programming errors a DNET.
It is nice to donate time and power, but to have a meaning project to do...
Lets you placed a bomb at the core and exploded it. It would eject energy (hopefully evenly) that could sperator the parts. Gravity would tend to "pull" pieces back together.
IF the release was large enought and non-even - then a few parts could get enough energy to "escape", but may not escape all surrounding mattter (earth) and stay in an orbit around earth, hence a new moon(s).
IF the release was real big... maybe a new orbit around the sun.
IF so big that it is sent to random space... most like the earth will be gone too!
Now bury nuclear waste on the dark side and that goes cri... Damn - "Space 1999" already done.
A small clip from the SCIFI-FAQ:

I was watching when it was sucking. Since there is no future and SciFi is now more than horror channel -- My household is "gone".
Same here.
As I wrote to the head of SciFi Channel:
Before dumping I-Man: View on actual TV, when showing: 5Hr on Friday, plus secondary runs tape and other channels.
When they dumped I-Man: View on actual TV: 2Hrs Farscape only.
When they add StarGate: 2 to 4 hours. StarGate was a so so view add.
When they dropped FarScape: 0 hours.
Now it is food channel: Iron Chef! - maybe they move Good Eats to Friday too!
My house hold will *NOT* be watching the finally of FarScape... This season sucked anyway.
But note: They sure wasted alot of $$$ on ADs on other channels for "TOOKEN". Now we know where the FarScape budget went.
How should an Airline make a website accessable for the handicap? For that matter any "sales" site.
Should a "hidden" fields point to a phone number to blind, so they have same access to "cheap" fares.
Mine are 9, 3, and 1 (18 months)

Staph is a normally not seen in the general poplution. It shows up where other things have all ready weaken the system.
So where is the place most staph affesction show up?
The hostipal.
That's right, the place you go to get better.
What was just being found is that assama (trouble breathing) is more common (by % of population) in the city than in the country.
Why? Cleaner air? No smog?
Not realy... more dirt in the air. That right dust, sod, pig "gas" and like. The lungs are stronger for having to fight these.
Staph protection is most like to follow that same. A little dirty does not hurt you.
Thing of the people that go over see or Mexico and just **GO**. The local microbes in the water setting up shop in their intesants.
Again people from the country do not show this problem.
I always wondered what happens to the high tech workers in those ultra-clean rooms for wafers and disks.

Do not try to fly. The FAA already should have you blacklisted.

Or move the Video board out of the computer and into the screen. Say use Firewire as as the connector or Gigabit Ethernet.
We now have iSCSI, is iVideo next?
With that step the processor box can be crushed again. Maybe even multiple processing machines "shareing" a single display, with a KVM or VNC.

Since the picture is faked for "switch", is MS guilty of truth in advertisting??
"forced commercials" = You are not allowed to touch the buttons or knobs while a comerrical is playing.
All things come to end.
Copyright is a monopoly. We either have sue every one for anti-trust or agree to finite period to allow the market to grow.
But for me...
Why is a copyright different than a patent?
They both protect an idea.
They both protect a market.
They both create a monopoly.
One you get for 95 years(+).
The Other you get for 17 year.
One their is no pruden to proof it yours -- just write it.
The Other you have to submit proof and first come first servered.
It seams that a copyright's 95 years is too long for some thing that has a lower threshold to meet.
One thing to remember...
Deep Blue was being "adjusted" nightly. So a computer plus 6 people were playing on one side of the board.
Yes, Deep Blue won, but to me, it was not a machine vs man... Deep Blue was being debugged.

First it was easy to make a computer from an I-Opener.
Then they changed the BIOS
Then placed glue over IDE pins and BIOS
And then out of bussines... Opps!
depends on the energy release...
