    Nope. Not on the ones I have used.

    1) you fill them out with a special black pen.
    2) if you make a mistake, ask for new sheet and start again.
    3) you place it into the optical scanner.
    4) Green Light - your ballot is correct and you are done.
    5) Red Light - you get a new ballot and start again.

    Advantages:
    Positive and Negative feedback if the ballot is clean and correct.
    Voter SEES what is they choose, clearly.

    Disadvantages:
    Paper pile. But need only until election is confirmed.

    Building some parts from scratch is still possible. Plans for old equipment is still available. Using unique parts instead of high tech chips are still possible.

    The issue here BRAIN power. Go watch "Space Cowboys", that is showing the our thought process that the young do not understand the basics.

    The answer is not always that simple. Juat because the "ring of fire" is south does not stop the question. The North American plate is running over Pacific plate cause land to "swell up" also know as mountians. Look at the Rockies, 100's of miles in land from same plates interfacing off of California.

    Also the idea that mistakes with MONEY do not happen, look at the Bodega Bay Nuclear Power Station... opps whole in the ground. Yes, they where building a nuclear power station, dug the hole ordered the equipement, only feet from part of the San Andreas Fault. Luck some one asked about how that bay was formed?

    They took the stone mason from this "This Old House" and in 30 days built like 10 meter tall Pyramid. They used a simple outside ramp and "turning" posts at the corners. Hardest part was placing the cap stone.

    Was a great show, I guess it sis not make it to France.

    Actually, I see the gyro handling the information for level flight. The GPS would handle info for "steering". Because GPS updates are only once per second.

    Was around 7. It was no fun compared to my mother's uncle or my older brother "sets". There are lots of things you can do with just wire, battery, old can and some nails. "Grow" salt crystal and build a radio (AM). Telegraph key and receiver. Motor.

    True come are not electronic but the basics are there. There are big and easy to debug. Then get to into a TTL or Analog IC Manual. You can build from parts timers, radios, computers (from ALU and gates)

    After all that start into computers like Z80 or V30. Look at embedded controlers.

    After all all of this is just build blocks like legos!

    Ah, the book of gods and the cure for insomnia. I have read that book 3, 4 times. The best I can master is 4 pages before falling asleep! It was a of great help when I was building an index method for Self Balancing Multiway Tree, with key compression and redundant data removal for the IBM S/34 and S/36.

    Old apps are NOT old machines. I want to run VISTA on a 486, because I can run Linux on it.

    Wait this is M$ right?

    The company that abandons the users on older machines, to help their customers sell new machines.

    Of course they do not have any errors in the DRM or other processes that the error will not happen.

    So why again I do not own the hardware in my equipment to be used HOW I WANT TO USE IT?
