Personally, I hope the defense project fails... otherwise Canada will be forced to disagree again with American policy. I'm sure there'll be economic consequences.
Nah. The brightest beacon of Freedom will ensure your bright future by simply liberating you from your communist dictator.
Tyler: "A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one."
Seriously, is the flame war the new source if income? I mean, it sure increases the number of banner views. Let's report on a new emacs-version, citing it as "far less potent than the newer VI. also notepad K1CK$ aSS".
Next, EA will be conducting a survey to determine if employees like to be fed poison, being impaled or imolated...
In other news, a survey using Diebold voting machines concluded that EA Staff likes to be "fed poison, being impaled and imolated". "Since the well being of our kids is important to us, we will try to implement this as soon as we can" says Jeff Brown of EA.
I see Valve as a decent company, and I wouldn't be surprised it they released the authentication part as a separate piece of software (sort of like a patch) when they decide not to support Steam anymore.
Some content of note: There are some models in a directory labeled "C17" (which I assume is City 17) that can be viewed in the model viewer/placed into maps with hammer. Interesting content, though I haven't seen any huge spoilers yet (just things like stoves and cupboards in the directory).
Argh! Everyone knows that last missing piece of the previously leaked HL2 stories - the last detail before we uncover the true ending - was the matter of the cupboard and the stove! Now it's obvious that Gorden choses "nay" instead of "'neal" at the end!
Well, it's a question of WHO is making the money nowadays. Could it be the american oil companies (connected to your war monglering president) which gets the new oil contracts in Iraq.
Has it occured to anyone that most of the companies contracted for rebuilding Iraq is american? As they say, if no market exists - create one.
We had a large collection of.cfg-files in directory in which I was working. Also, whole lot of left-over files (from our inhouse editor utility) which had no "file ending".
So, there I was, late at night, getting tired of all those #%!&/#!%# backup-files.
Since I wanted to keep my.cfg's, I typed:
rm -rf . *
Which, of course, was wrong. What I wanted was:
rm -rf.*
While the parent post had backups - and I was absolutely certain we had them too - we did not.
...and she's pretty too! :D
1) create buggy and insecure operating system
2) have people PAY for securing said OS
3) PROFIT!!

And perhaps a good ground for the interview would be Energia Corps' own Martian Mission web

you mean, it's the soldiers that went home - unarmed - that are now being SHOT by coalition soldiers anyway?

Ready for release.
Reminds of the old easter egg in Microsoft Excel which displayed "the programmers hell" in which as Excel developers resided :)
And many websites are fixing themselves to work with FireFox.
:)
You mean, like, going back to the web standards?
Now that the election is over, we do not have to be in fear any more.
:)
Oh, I don't know about you, but I think my four years of terror has just started
Ha-ha. I LOVE YOU MAN!
Damn that was funny...
In other words- We don't care what the director of the UN says.
You have shown that on several occations, thank you very much.
In a democracy you have to follow certain rules. The United States is acting in a manner comparable to an angry mob. YOU ARE NOT THE WORLD POLICE.
"Allowed" is a funny word to use about a war which most of the world considers to be illegal.

For my gaming pleasures, I always carry a tiny USB mouse with my iBook.
WOAH! There's a bunch of geeks here you know. My head nearly spun off scanning a sentence containing "pleasure" and "mouse". Take it easy man!

That was a loooong week
Sounds very forward-thinking. I will definitely be listening to this stream when I move there soon.
:)
Yeah, because the obvious audience for internet broadcast is a local listener, and you wouldn't be able to listen to it now.
...the world sure is a wikid place!
...or perhaps Hans Moravec was just plain wrong :)
