    I see Valve as a decent company, and I wouldn't be surprised it they released the authentication part as a separate piece of software (sort of like a patch) when they decide not to support Steam anymore.

    Some content of note: There are some models in a directory labeled "C17" (which I assume is City 17) that can be viewed in the model viewer/placed into maps with hammer. Interesting content, though I haven't seen any huge spoilers yet (just things like stoves and cupboards in the directory).

    Argh! Everyone knows that last missing piece of the previously leaked HL2 stories - the last detail before we uncover the true ending - was the matter of the cupboard and the stove! Now it's obvious that Gorden choses "nay" instead of "'neal" at the end!

    Well, it's a question of WHO is making the money nowadays. Could it be the american oil companies (connected to your war monglering president) which gets the new oil contracts in Iraq.

    Has it occured to anyone that most of the companies contracted for rebuilding Iraq is american? As they say, if no market exists - create one.

    We had a large collection of .cfg-files in directory in which I was working. Also, whole lot of left-over files (from our inhouse editor utility) which had no "file ending".

    So, there I was, late at night, getting tired of all those #%!&/#!%# backup-files.

    Since I wanted to keep my .cfg's, I typed:
    rm -rf . *
    Which, of course, was wrong. What I wanted was:
    rm -rf .*
    While the parent post had backups - and I was absolutely certain we had them too - we did not.

    That was a loooong week :)
