It's not a concern about maniacs hitting 18,000 theaters simultaneously, its about hitting one. Even if a single theater is attacked by one moron doing a copy cat attack, the people injured could sue the living bejesus out of Sony, and an the PR spin would be even worse than it is now. Personally, I think it should be leaked to the internet, so about a billion people can see what only a few million would have seen otherwise, and then release and uncut directors version on DVD 6 months from now after all this insanity has died down.
That is weird. I talked to God just the other day and even He said Jack pisses him off. Then he went on about how Jesus roxors at Halo 2. You know, that God is a bit of a tool.

I included the exclamation point and thus made it a more exciting "Shop Think Geek Fools!"
I suppose my version would have made more sense if they included a comma. Oy.
Seriously, the good beers never make it over the pond. I've been to Australia, the beer is lovely, but the average American consumer knows only Fostrer's. If I want a pint of VB I have to go to a specialty shop and pay ridiculous prices.
If we could fix that with some free trade I'd be all for it.
I had more fun with the box the glove came in than I ever had with the glove. It was a novel idea, ahead of it's time, but the tech just didn't live up to the expectation. It wasn't cool, just awkward.
My ibook (G4 800 mhz) just did 4 1/2 hours today of word-processing w- still some juice left. Granted, I dimmed the screen, turned Airport (wireless modem)off and turned off whatever I wasn't using, but 5 hours is definitely reasonable.
That thumb strap thing looks like a great idea. At first I wasn't sure about the whole stylus-shooter combo, but the whole thumb strap idea looks like it would work really well.
My 12" iBook rocks as well. Less power, less sexy, but I EASILY get 5 hours of batt. life and it was considerably cheaper than the powerbook. Runs cooler as well.
Swell, but the lack of hard drive in the neXtBox may make modding it into a server/gaming rig difficult. This generation you helped make Xbox aplayer, but what will you be playing in 3 years? Sony may be happy to buy your soul right back.
Also, I was one of those ridiculous few that bought the Linux Kit for the PS2. FTP, SMB, DVD and Grand Turismo. Combine that with my new dual G5 and I can happily live and game in a Microsoft free world.
Of course, I chose the super expensive way to go, but the less money I give to Microsoft the happier I am.
Unfortunately, neither Halo nor it's highly anticipated succsessor will be playable on the neXtBox. It will come down to what software neXtBox has available at launch. Unlike PS3, no software backwards compatability may cause some current Xbox owners to hesitate on the purchase of their next console. If Sony is able to launch a more powerfull console with a solid launch library, that combined with the huge back library of PS2 titles available may swing some Xboxers back into Sony's fold.
At the end of the day, it is way to early for anyone, even Microsoft, to say that they can catch Sony. Sony will continue to be the leader, and Nintendo has proven that they have the stones to weather a competitive environment. I'd say it's still anyones game. Ballmer is just spewing what the stockholders want to hear. You will never hear Microsoft Steve say "We'll never catch Sony, but we are happy to fight over seconed place while continueing tolose money on every console purchase."
Microsoft is definately here for good, but they are a long way from declaring dominance.
I must disagree. My iBook 800mhz (677 ram)w- Pnather has little slowdown issues with the ilife package. Although, honestly,I have yet to really use the garage band app (Here's hoping I get that keyboard for my birthday in June)or iMovie, but I can say that iPhoto and iTunes chug along at quite a brisk pace. No window resizing issues at all.
I pre-ordered via he Apple site to get the $69.00 price. Arrived on the 24th & was installed and running way before 8:00. Impressions? Good, so far. Finder makes more sense and is significantly faster. Expose is such a good idea it's a shame it hasn't been think of before. Very smooth upgrade, few problems.
I traded in a bunch of old PS2 games I had lying around and paid $0.00 FOR GC, Wavebird (yowza! Sony, why can't you dp this for PS2?), Metroid Prime, and RS II.
I love my PS2, but the Cube ROCKS. MP is probably one of the most unique games I've ever played.
Unplayable in classic, only 60% complete in SCUMMVM, and the sequel just got canned. Makes ya wanna get on your Corley Motors street hog and beat some programmer to oblivion. Ho hum.
I actually just switched to ATI. No problems w- NV, just ATI gave me a better deal with excellent preformance. Went from a NV GeForce 4 MMX w- 64 (not a bad card for the $) to the ATI 9700 PRO, wich is doing an excellent job thus far. I like nvidia, but the FX line has (in my eyes, at least) failed to impress. No animosity towords NV here, I for one am happy that there are two competing companies offering excellent cards at reasonable prices. Viva la competition'!!

They are pining for the fjords, which, coincidentally, won Slartibartfast an award.
er.. Wavebird? Maybe?

Shamelessly plugging TMBG. Shame on you.
Foster's! Australian for crap....

No, but there is rumor of VOIP capability in the DS....
FYI, Dooko is japanese for poison.
