This is an excellent point, but it cuts both ways. As you've pointed out, the available evidence during the Middle Ages made an Earth-centered universe viable. Thus, it was entirely possible to rigorously follow the scientific method and still conclude we are at the center.
And if you did not come to that conclusion and told anybody, you could be burned at the stake for heresy.
Now imagine this Real life image: a 11 year old in his underwear and a dirty white t-shirt screaming "I want to play NIN-TIN-DOOOO!" until he's so hoarse he sounds like Patty Bouvier from the Simpsons.
That's like saying DOS is better than Windows because the CLI is more efficient than the GUI. There's a lot more to both products than just the user interface paradigm.
My understanding is that the aim of such a patch would not be primarily for its direct effect (limiting users) but for its indirect effect: urging vendors to release source, which ultimately is PRO-user. It therefore seems like disingenuous rhetoric to claim that this would be "purely to limit the *end user* and specifically limit what they can do with their computer".
The aim is bogus. In spite of what the kernel developer is saying with his lips and emails, talk's cheap; his patch says this: "if you don't know how to remove the patch, then you do not have the right to install the binary modules of your choice."
That considered I expect it to be moving into Debian.:-P

I've worked with Tech grads who couldn't code for shit. You need to know theory, and you need to know how to apply it as well. Because if you think all you need to know it theory you don't really know shit.
Human life isn't important at all to the Earth's ecosystem
Unless you're one of the Humans.
It doesn't matter if the earth's ecosystem recovers or not if all the humans are dead. And it really doesn't matter what the cause of the climate change is, human or natural if the earth's climate changes to a point where it can no longer support human life; we're all gone. If there's something we can do about it and we don't because we keep saying "We don't know that were the cause", we're stupid deserve what we get.
The 90s called, they want their theory back.
The website is multi-browser functional.
The file viewer which is a separate application, however is not cross platform.
And if you did not come to that conclusion and told anybody, you could be burned at the stake for heresy.
Just means the year really sucked for innovation.
Its worth it just to see all these guys whine about letting it die, or about how its already dead.
Long live the Amiga!
Welcome to the real world, your actions have consequences; deal.
Don't the price of freedom? You're free to relocate to Saudi Arabia.

The GNOME devs have one vision/plan, the KDE devs have a different one. And there is plenty of non-functional fluff in both systems.

Microstation beats, or at least used to beat AutoCAD in 2D.
Perfect match. Google makes money, NASA spends money.
Squirting?
Sounds like something the Wii should do.
The FAA also has the power to levy fines which is what the treasury is doing for melting down coins./p?

Computers can't deal with anything natively; somebody has to program them.
According to the site $10,000/year US is Top 13.31%, $5,000/year is the Top 14.39% and $1,200/year is Top 36.25% so take it for what its worth.

You obviously didn't graduate from Yale. :-P
They should only permit the export of Microsoft Zunes to NK, that'll show him!
