    Quick history. When the analog space is freed and available from the conversion to digital, that space will then be auctioned off, most likely to closed bid communications companies.

    The gov is fine with this since the money is earmarked to pay off the deficit. In reality, buying an HDTV has the positive side effect of lowering the national debt. It's a very good plan, if you don't mind being used for high level money making.

    I just velcro a clock to the physical monitor and do away with the lost screen real-estate. You have to wonder why no one ships a monitor that has that included.

    KDE has a protocol named fish:// that runs inside the Konquerer browser. It uses SH or PERL on the computer it connects to(which means that computer must has SSH, PERL over an SSH connection) and displays them like a local computer. I use it for quick backups from my Desktop to some extra storage on an mp3 server sitting in the corner.

    I have el cheapo Promise Fasttrak 133 (PDC20276) with two other el cheapo 30GB harddrives in a raid. It works fine with 2.4, but I still see no way of upgrading to 2.6. Will there eventually be an ATARAID workaround, or do I need to change my system setup to get on 2.6
