My hands are actually larger than average, and I still much prefer the PS2/PSX controller - I even got myself a converter similar to the one I mentioned for my PC, because I found most PC gamepads either too big and clunky (Logitech, MS) or too flimsy (cheaper brands).
And I'm afraid that contrary to you all reports I've heard from people using the XBox controller in any scenario have been very negative - a couple even to the point that they won't buy the console just because they dislike the controllers so much.
...plus three controllers at $50 a piece (say, $30 back to Microsoft)
You forget that anyone with an iota of sense will buy the vastly superiour PS2 controllers and a couple of these (I wanted to link to Lik-Sang but they seem not to stock them anymore for some reason... An MS conspiracy?;)). Meaning the XBox will actually put more money in Sony's pockets:P
What you're trying to say is, of course, the BBC game Elite. Just because it has been ported to a dozen or more (inferior;) systems doesn't mean it originated on any of them.

I'd say it's quite a bit more addictive than RTCW at least, although Progress Quest has them both beat hands down when it comes to graphics and gameplay.

Try the Photoshop (at least 6.0+) "Save for web" function under the file menu, you'll see a slider labeled "lossy" which you can use for the GIF and PNG formats. I use it all the time, works like a charm.
I'm guessing the Hugo awards are losing press, so they try to get their name linked to Harry Potter to ride on his wave of popularity. And lo and behold, it's working!:)

Actually, I think a closer analogy here would be that a bunch of people are complaining to the landlord of a big flat that one of the tenants are selling faulty burglar alarms, that have a record of going off at night and waking lots of people up.
When the landlord fails to throw the guy out on the street, they form an angry mob and tear down the entire flat, leveling a few buildings around it in the process.

No. Now *you* are asking me to limit my rights.
I reserve my right to persuade other people that my opinon on what freedom is is right and that others see it wrongly. This is pretty much *my* own definition of freedom!

It's a fucking encyclopedia.

Will you also concede that you never played any spelling games? I recommend SEGA's "The Typing of the Dead".
Of course, it does seem like a relatively reliable storage medium, but by itself offers nothing more in terms of security :)

You must mean "sticking to his gnus"
A seeing robot could be a useful companion for a blind person, for example, or a sophisticated security camera.
Finally someone thinking of those poor, lonely security cameras. It breaks my heart, I'm telling you.

Maybe it's only because I'm European, but it seems like some Americans agree.

I don't know how much of a modification to bnetd or the Warcraft 3 Beta that involves, does anyone?
I believe it's about the same as the amount of damage a bulldozer would sufer if it was to run over Arthur Dent.

Plus, it's multiplayer.

I have it on good authority that the box will actually be called "My Games Console".
Careful what you say son, you might get yourself fired.
