I remember hearing about a program called FinalScratch that is REAL similar to this, a few years ago. I think it came out first for BeOS. It's the same kind of thing, in that it uses digital audio for the source, but it's actually tied into a real turntable with a "real" vinyl record, and it sounds like it has a lot of cool features for DJ's.
Episode III is supposed to one of the darkest films in the series; the fall of the Republic, the death of the Jedi, and the rise of the Empire. I do not think Spielberg is capable of making such a dark movie.
Ahhhh... yeah, his previous attempts, such as Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan, were much too light of fare for me!
Now let's compare this to Lucas. Which of all the Star Wars movies is the "dark" movie? Now let's look and see who directed it.
Star Wars will likely die with Lucas, Calvin and Hobbes will die with BW and Peanuts will die with CS.
Christ I don't know how much more there is to Star Wars! But regarding those last two -- apparantly you would like material to keep writing itself without the author around to do it??
Will the EARTH expire by 2050? No. Will humanity? Maybe.
As George Carlin once said, the Earth doesn't mind all this non-biodegradable plastic, only we humans do. The Earth doesn't mind it at all, it will simply create a new paradigm: The Earth + Plastic.
I'll take the research of proven scientists at places like MIT over some crackpots running a website with who knows what credentials to make any of the claims that are made.
Your karma whoring posts should have you up at 200 karma by now without a cap
I'm flattered that you've been following my posts for so long, but how exactly is it karma whoring if I'm already at 50? I post whatever I feel like saying about the article in question, and people can rate it however they wish. If I actually cared about friggin karma, I wouldn't post half of the stuff I do.
If it will make you happy, though, I will start posting stupid ass comments like yours.
X11 is already taken and refers to the XFree86 protocol. So what will the next major release be named?
How about the logical MacOS XI?
"But it goes all the way to eleven."
"These go to eleven."
Which makes me wonder whether Apple will go back to the tradition of calling things "plus" or "II" like the MacPlus or MacII in days of old. MacOSXPlus and MacOSXII sounds bad
Not only does MacOS XII sound bad, it's also wrong (it's not MacOS 12, it's MacOS 11).
XML is not a Java only technology, far from it. I fail to understand why so many books appear to try and make it look so.
I don't really see that books are trying to make it look like that, but the reason you see the two things paired together so much is simple: Java is a platform-independent programming language. XML is a platform-independent markup language. They fit together perfectly.
Can't the pictures just be downloaded seperately and then printed with a proper photo program?
I'll go out on a limb here and guess that these are webpages with a mix of text and images? If so, it'd be nice to print them out as webpages, instead of printing out the separate photos.
Did ask Slashdot just become tech support?
Tech support is, "this is broken, how do I fix it?" This question is, "there doesn't seem to be any browser capable of printing wide web pages, does anyone on slashdot know how to do this?"
Spielberg was only a producer on that movie. Zemeckis directed it.

Don't feel too bad, when you ask Carmack to speak about something other than 3D graphics, it sounds something like this:
John: My underwear have my name in them. Aye'm. They say John Carmack. These are definitely not my underwear. I get my underwear at K-Mart in Cincinatti, Ohio. Aye'm.
You: Did you fart? Did you fart, John? Did you fucking fart? How can you stand that, John? How can you fucking stand that?
John: I don't mind. Aye'm.
You: I'm gonna let ya' in on a little secret, John. K-Mart sucks.
John: Five minutes 'til Wapner.
You: OK, back to your area of normalcy, John. If you were going to draw a cube, what lengths for x, y, and z would you use?
The race is on... in Norway.
Pathetic... and I'm not even a big Mac fan
You're a Burger King kind of guy, right?
How about a 10-minute Remote Desktop session from Windows XP?
...that we launched our nukes in retaliation.
Me thinks he completely missed the clever reference to Dr. Strangelove.
Methinks he just has no sense of humor...
Can't the hackers who read slashdot (probably most of them) just call this number instead now?
Yeah, but uhhh why exactly would they want to?

Here's their site.
The Prius is an Echo with a different powerplant to give you a sense of the bigger size.
Toyota is supposed to be delivering a hybrid next year if I remember correctly.
The Toyota Prius *IS* a hybrid.

Irvin Kershner!

This guy is actually a blind programmer
And he's NOT yet working for Microsoft?
Ghhh.

IANAL, but...
Which research facility did you work in?
but some experts believe
Uhhh, would these be the "experts" at holisticmed.com?
How do you know they're experts?

Far more people need the balls to mod you down.
Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Have you discussed rocketry with John Carmack and his friends at Armadillo Aerospace? They plan to eventually fly a manned rocket as well.
Will you parachute if the shit hits the fan 35 miles up?
Wait a second, this thing's powered by a FAN?
Boy are you fucked!
