    I don't know about any test, but I've ended inexplicably on the NJ turnpike more than once.

    But that was when I lived in NJ, so it's not as farfetched as it might at first sound.

    Because, after a decade and a half running Windows of various flavors and several years doing tech support (aka virus removal specialist) part time, I've learned that keeping a Windows system clean takes more than a bit of common sense in addition to time and (possibly) money. Now that I'm on OS X, I just need common sense. I'm not going to waste any time or money on this "problem" until I hear of thousands of other Mac boxes going down in flames. When these dead canaries start being reported, I'll start paying attention.

    These lawsuits have nothing to do with making money for the RIAA corps. They probably plan to lose money in this effort. Their intent is to instill fear in the masses to discourage them from even think of copying RIAA content in any fashion whatsoever. It's a scare tactic plain and simple.

    If he's high enough in the food chain, that would suck. I've been in jobs where bonuses etc... were multiples of base salary. In his case, that might mean a 75% cut in his annual compensation.

    I built out a system a couple of years ago and got almost everything at zipzoomfly.

    I'm building out a system now and getting almost everything from NewEgg.

    NewEgg has slightly better prices and appear to have a broader selection, but if I had to pay sales tax I'd be using zipzoomfly instead of NewEgg.
