Additionally, I don't think "patenting specific use cases for chemicals" is appropriate either. Patent law has gotten WAY out of hand.

Since this country proves out that TTM is FAR more important then quality this happens time and time again.

I use and will continue to use PostgreSQL. It is superior to MySQL in feature set and reliability. We use it for all our servers and applications. (Browser-based CRM, Predicitive Dialers, ERP solutions, etc.)

Granted I disagree with the articles #1 comment because we shoe-horned Postgresql on a Windows 2000 AS back in 2004 with version 7.2 because we had a client that wanted a windows based server... BUT, it wasn't easy and for that reason I will acquiesce to the articles point.

In any event I am pleased that Postgresql is continuing to push some of the bigger DB companies to change their tactics but I will not go to Oracle anytime soon. Nor will I go to MySQL. Just because it is "easy" is NOT a reason for me... You can do EVERYTHING with Postgresql that you can with MySQL and much more. Just because it is "easier to use" means nothing, other than laziness prevails.

The only thing I will say against Postgresql that is a "pro" for Mysql... I get annoyed typing P-o-s-t-g-r-e-s-q-l ... I would rather something "simple" like Mysql, but then there is that "easy" argument again. :-D

Elsewhere there is talk of a 1% increase in NASA's budget for 2k7 but this is NOTHING compared to the slash to the budget that Bush dealt NASA when he first took office because he "needed" that money for the military we would later use to attach the middle east...
