I've used both MS Office and Open Office, and while it's OO is reasonably capable to being a word substitute, it just kinda of feels clunky or slow. Opening a file is slow, saving is slow and typing just feels unresponsive.
Now I run an Athlon 1Ghz with a 1GB of RAM with a 7200rpm 8MB cache ATA100 HDD so I don't see why that should be the case.
The rendering is also a little weird at times when opening Word files, but that's to be expected between platforms.
And I can definately atest to performance degredation due to the lack of sleep.
Having managed to get about 3.5 hours of sleep over 4 days I could have sworn that in the middle of the night a pine tree was actually a soldier wearing a top hat. And worst of it was, he was coming straight for me!!

True, but for programmers (IT personnel) it's very useful to have a Computer Science background. I don't know how many so-called programmers I've come across who don't know any other way than brute force. Running times in the cube or fourth degree. $hit.
I find the hypocrisy astounding. If you had copied a game borrowed from a friend would you call it "file sharing"?
No, that would be plain outright piracy. Yet when the same label is attached to the copying of music it's claimed that it's "file sharing" not piracy. Bull$hit. The end result is the same. You have software that you did not purchase (fair use issues aside - this is only for sharing music that you don't already own).
At least be man enough to admit you're a pirate. Sheesh.
Basic FTP account is all you need + vanity domain.
Setup what is called recipes, e.g. foo@my.vanity.domain
any mail sent to that address will either get forwarded to my actual email address, or get deleted. I create a new recipe for every person/site I come into contact with.
Quick, Cheap solution for my spam problems. Unfortunately my real email address got out before I setup my recipes.. so I'm still get some spam.
at least they asked. I'll give them that much credit.
well, we Canadians were involved in Korea... and you can't say that was a clear cut victory.. not really a lose either, but still.
what on earth is it going on startup???
I can almost go to the bathroom and take a piss waiting for it!

bullshit. your browser is fine once you leave their service.
Most of them are better than the originals!!!
I wonder how time these guys spend on developing new animations for these videos.
And is anyone actually making money off of them?
BTW, I am a member of the Canadian Forces Reserve.
No they are not part of the Canadian Forces reserve. They do not fall under the QR&Os, CFAOs, DAODs or Code of Service Discipline.
They also cannot be summoned to war by order-in-council.
That website has it wrong.
Bravo! If it were possible I'd give you a +10!
Better yet, why not provide an example of a prophecy that has been fulfilled?
(and the big test would be to see how much interpretation of the text has to be done to "fulfill" the prophecy)
but you still have to differentiate between the teams that work on the apps and the team the works on the windows kernel.

yeah only if you're dumb enough to buy the stuff labelled as "music discs"
;)
I can get a 100 "data" CD spindle for about $30 CDN. What? It's not meant for music you say? Well let me be the judge of that
You don't HAVE to have a domain, therefore if you're vain enough to get one expect a little trade-off.
Geez I swear people are taking things too far these days. I'm all for privacy but for pete's sake you people CHOSE to get a domain!
Actually, it's a compliment.
Although his logic is wrong, taken literally
(albeit incorrectly)
Canada==America++
would mean that Canada is 1 up on America.
In that case Canada == America since your
post-increment doesn't occur until after
the statement.
You're not a programmer by any are you?
Oh how I feel your pain.
It's the same deal in my company.. no working
on "non-approved" projects. Even side projects
are frowned on.
*sigh*
I couldn't agree more.
In fact, the IT department I work in spent
considerable time implementing new features into
our LAUNCHED product that sales "sold" to new
customers!!
grrrr....
Got myself an account over at pair.com

I agree.. its Saccharin (sp?) that was a carcinogen.
high end isn't where the money is at.. its the
mid to low end that generates most of the revenue.
You need not worry until Nvidia starts losing
OEM business to ATI.
Don't forget to factor in my displacement

And where are you getting the 120 damage b4
it explodes?
I considered myself to the galatic janitor.
Any poor/ultra-poor planets would get destroyed
and rebuilt as normal planets.
Any toxi planets would get destroyed and rebuilt

Any gas giants would get converted into planets
Any asteriod belts would get converted into
planets.
So all that's left are the normal, rich and
ultra-rich. Everybody's happy.. except of course
if you happened to be on one of the planets I
destroyed..
