Offtopic - but I don't understand how someone on a motorcycle thinks it is a good idea to go drink and then ride. Just got my temps and don't ever plan on riding after drinking.
I just put together a machine for basic DVR. Core duo (not 2) with a basic MB, Case+PS, passive cooled video card, HDD and 2GB ram/640GB HDD. That's what I would consider last gen gaming - if not even one more generation behind, and at that the video card is probably the weakest link. $350 for all parts from Newegg.com, not including shipping and my cost to throw the system together.
I know a fair amount of people who use their cell phone with Pandora to stream music to their tastes in lieu of FM.
Of course, I typically just listen to CDs still - Pandora on WM seems to have such a low bitrate (ringing cymbals, etc) that I can't stand it even in the car.
Basically, it is just a compass superimposed on the bird's vision... you can do the same thing with your iPhone or with a $5 compass.
Only if you smash the iphone into your right eye. And even then, you probably would only see the compass, not just an "overlay" or modification of existing vision.
88 Kawasaki 454 LTD (en450, technically) - haven't ridden yet. Friend of mine brought it back to my house last night; have to go get gear tonight. Got the permit Saturday - should be fun!
I've had (in the AMD K6-2 days) a bad FLOPPY DRIVE CABLE somehow cause data corruption on an ATA disk when placed into UDMA mode. Just something weird that I ran into.
One of the reasons this can happen if you hop APs is if the access points aren't all set up on the same broadcast domain. Extreme Networks (uses Siemens equipment if I recall) does this in a neat way by tunneling all of the access points back to the wireless controller; therefore anywhere in a building/campus you keep the same IP address and roam seamlessly. Older Symbols that I've used as well are good too - but they require their own broadcast domain on the physical ethernet side of things due to their mode of operation.
Chances are you're getting a new address when you roam - wham. No more connection, have to start over.
Please make sure you read the standards on POE before you attempt this. Typical POE does handshaking to determine voltage/current requirements. In addition, the small gauge of wire used in typical cat5/cat5e will NOT carry current very well. If you attempt to throw 5v 1a down the wire, you may overheat even two pairs bonded together and find yourself in a very interesting (fire?) situation. You may also see a large voltage drop at the far (receiving end) depending on the distance of the cable.
In short, you can try this and you may be successful, but be aware of the fact that you must understand a little bit about how electricity works before you attempt this.
You also can't duplicate the chance of whiny kids crying for 1/2 the movie (happened to me for XMen 2) or random people whipping out their cell phones during the film. Even though most don't actually talk on their phones, the fact that the light attracts my attention away from the movie is a real distraction.
Plus the fact that most of the larger chain cinemas feel the need to push the audio way too high. In Columbus, there's a place called the Movie Tavern. Has a bar and restaurant - uses what I would consider "cheaper" computer chairs and you sit behind a table so you can eat with a mild light. Another plus for them is that they don't crank the friggin audio. AMC @ Easton - yea, they crank it so bad my ears ring.
I must be getting old. But tldr version - Big Chain Movie Theaters are usually not a good experience in my opinion.
I can't believe I even clicked through to read the story. This has to be one of the more misleading stories... "solar powered shrub car" in my mind makes me think that there's some magical link between the fact that it looks like a shrub, using photosynthesis to power the car. But no. That's not it at all. It's just a shrub because it can be.
Well the point others are trying to make is that if you suddenly ramp up demand for a somewhat rare material that just happens to be cheap today because no one is utilizing it, you'll see a jump in price corresponding to the jump in demand. It could be huge if the demand outstrips the ability to actually acquire the material quickly.
This is the same dilemma I talk myself into and out of when looking at cars. I have a 99 Grand Marquis that gets around 18mpg in the city - I don't do a whole lot of highway driving in it. I've had it free and clear for some time now, but to have to put money down and get a payment on a new vehicle - even if it's 40mpg, which no car other than a hybrid would get - wouldn't get me ahead at all....
You could dedicate one monitor to pictures of your cat. Blam. Problem solved for one monitor.
Also, I forsee a stacked-pipes arrangement - similar to some drum sets - to where you have the monitors stacked above the current ones with mounting brackets. I would love to do this at work with my 2 sets of 2 monitors (2 monitors on laptop, 2 on the desktop) because my current setup of 4 wide means the one on the far right side doesn't get used at all.....
No need to worry about HTC (who, with your worry about speed, will probably only ever update your device once. Or twice) - just jump on the XDA-Developers bandwagon!
Well, you're HALF right :)

BS.

So, once James Cameron does this, he can release a press statement:
"I've upped my frame rates. Up yours!"
Maybe one day they'll have voice recognition and press 1.
Of course, you could always ask for pi to 100 digits....

That's a nice bike by the way...

This is precisely why I don't have a tattoo. Of course, I did just buy a motorcycle, so maybe I'll have one soon enough.....

Ultimately, if the question needs brought up, it probably isn't a win-win scenario you're looking at here anyways.

I helped my niece play this game, getting her through some of the parts that were frustrating her. Five minutes would have been more than enough.

I really don't understand why
Anyone else hold back the urge to giggle when they mention this company? I do.
