    Cause they couldn't figure out a better way of saying Switch Jobs...they used JUMP...I was totally thinking something else when I read the headline...

    Back in the day we used to call that dual classing. It was the only advantage humans had over elves in the long run but most people used house rules instead.

    Now with FFXII you can switch jobs by putting on a new outfit and in FFXIV you can switch jobs just by picking up a new weapon. Kids these days...

    The most stimulating debate I have seen on facebook was when someone I know forgot to sort out the naughty ones before she uploaded a whole folder of pictures.

    Sounds like this completely ignores the cost of keeping a socket open. For a lot of servers, the number of simultaneous open connections is a far more limited resource than bandwidth available for the occasional request.

    windows is the wrong tool, not because it is crappy OS (it is, but it is sufficient for most tasks),
    but because it won't run on hardware cheap enough to have made the OLPC practical and barely ran on the hardware they ended up using.

    Not only the ability to display what permissions an app requests, but the ability to deny the use of those features on a per feature basis for each app.

    For instance, an app may request internet access (cellular radio or wifi), the user should be able to choose to limit that to just wifi or even turn off connectivity for that app all together.

    The farther out you are, lower albedo and higher greenhouse gasses would be needed.

    The closer in, higher albedo and lower greenhouse gasses would be needed.

    There is not one vote per person either, not really.

    The electoral college makes pointless all votes in uncontested states for the office of president.

    In Mississippi, it doesn't matter who you vote for, the state will vote republican (unless the republicans put forth too dark of a candidate).
