    they seem to have figured it out with ultraviolet
    not perfect but i can buy stuff on target ticket and watch it on Vudu or Cinemanow

    same with Hulu and Spotify for TV and music. Hulu is even owned by the content owners themselves

    sitcoms make money on syndication
    the itunes and are like dvd sales revenue

    the cost to make a sitcom is so high you take a loss on the original airing only to syndicate it to the crap channels on cable for people to watch it when they have nothing to do. this has been the strategy for decades

    but then you can game it like app store rankings of paying kids to watch the movie

    yeah, they work after decades of refinements

    in the early days those toys had as much problems as any new aircraft. the F18 was actually the competing design to the F16 that lost out and was modified for carrier ops

    they all had these problems
    any engineering challenge will not adhere to some PHB's schedule or original cost estimates
    in the past we had separate aircraft for carrier, marine VTOL and runway ops. F35 is replacing all of them since its a lot more expensive to maintain different models of aircraft

    B1, B2, B52 rely on air superiority

    the F22 and F35 is what kills off the opposing pilots in enemy fighters to give the bombers unopposed air space
    go read up on the B17 and other bombing missions in WW2. pilots were almost guaranteed to die since the loss rates were close to 30% per mission in the early days. only after long range fighters were developed did the loss rates go down.

    relax, the f22 and the f35 are designed to replace fighters that are now 40 years old
    the original F16 and f18 designs are from the 1970's. we haven't had a new fighter in the air force for almost 40 years now and this is a huge leap in current capabilities

    the cost is a trillion $$$$, but the old fighters also need a lot of money for maintenance and their airframes will soon need to be completely rebuilt. its not like this money will never be spent. its either new toys, or keep on fixing the old toys

    read about it in the last few years after one of my kids had an almost 105 fever one week
    human pathogens like the 98.6 body temp and a fever is the body's natural way of fighting these pathogens
    the flu virus also likes low humidity which is why people buy humidifiers in the winter time

    unless my kid has some crazy high fever i try to avoid giving him tylenol or some other fever reducer as long as possible. usually until its almost time for bed

    if you need to take emergency related calls 24x7 then sit by a phone the whole time. even on the ground cellular service is not 100% reliable on every square inch of the USA

    you do a lot of work "certifying' that things work according to someone's checklist and repeat next year

    they are nothing more than jobs programs for auditors and a get out of jail free card for everyone involved

    a theory needs scientific and experimental proof
    not someone making stuff up and calling it a theory or saying it should be this way since we can't think up of anything else

    there are dozens of theories about the structure of the universe, each with their own math proofs that are being sorted out. where is your experimental proof?

    if you're young and listen to recent music, then owning is not that expensive

    if you're older than dirt like myself and want to listen to lots of music from the last 40 years or longer than renting is a lot cheaper. add to this the fact that there is so much music to listen to that there is no sense in buying even single songs you might listen to a few times and then go on to something else

    someone would have to steal your phone to take the data off. and anyone on ios 7 which is more iphone users will have find my iphone enabled and will send a remote wipe command.

    or just change your passwords once you lose your phone and problem solved

    don't give your kids the password and approve every purchase

    every single app page lists the top IAP for that app and every app i've seen it clearly says how much it costs to buy in game money, gems or whatever. and then it asks for your itunes password to approve it.

    kids will lie. my 6 year old is learning how to lie to get his way

    UAC in Windows is annoying but the same thing is OS X is beyond awesome and cool
