You do mean "alias ls='ls --color=auto'", right? You don't want to go and have your "ls -l | less" all munged up by the color codes getting choked on in less.
Totally on the Gentoo colors. I've got a FreeBSD zealot of a friend that yells at me for using ls with color. He went ape when he saw my color prompt. What can I say, I love pretty colors. Having started out with computers on the BBS scene, ANSI colors just make me feel at home.
All green of skin... 800 centuries ago. Their bodily fluids include the birth of half-breeds. Self-determination of the cosmos. For dark is the suede... that mows like a harvest.
I don't know what my success really means, but I found my current job over CareerBuilder. I've been here over a year, and it's pretty much the best job I've ever had. However, I really could have just as easily found it in the classifieds. It's just that I ran into their ad first at CareerBuilder.
There is no original novel. The original "The Princess Bride" was written by William Goldman. The ultimate joke of the novel is that Goldman credits there being an original story written by an S. Morganstern. In reality, there is no S. Morganstern that wrote such a story. Goldman made it all up.
I'll just add mine to your anecdotal evidence. I have experienced roughly the same thing, although somewhat more obviously. I've played guitar for about 10 years. I had never had wrist troubles, until I stopped playing for 2 years. During those 2 years my wrists started hurting more and more. 6 months ago I started playing every day again, and today I don't have any wrist pain. It's not proof, by any means, but I do believe that there is something to it.
My solution was to get rid of expanded cable. It's all "local" channels for me now. I've found that my TV viewing time remained about the same, and I get the same enjoyment out of it. $10/month for cable is certainly fair. As a movie lover, I find paying that $10/month for cable and $30/month for netflix gives me a lot more bang for my buck than $50 or $60/month for movie channels. Excuse me while I make sweet, sweet love to my TiVo. Erm..
A point that you allude to but don't quite get there brings into play the beautiful fact that the whole thing is computerized. This allows for to 8-5 driver's car to be placed in the slowest to retrieve location at 8, and shifted to the quick location during downtime around 4:30 or so, ready for when they arrive. Very cool indeed. I want one!

I was under the impression that the rate of production of suckers was one per minute. Have we made headway in stemming this epidemic?
Criminals wear black masks and carry sacks with dollar signs on them, duh.

That's what the 3G iPods have. I love mine.
So they'll be teenage girls. Great. Now I'm going to have to tell my computer how pretty it is before it'll let me run anything.

I got my iPod a few weeks ago. Within a few days I realized that I would just sit and play and stare at it, thinking "my precious". I need therapy.
Yeah, I know that during the first 7 days of the week I surf at reasonable levels. But on that 8th day? HO BOY! Do I ever go nuts..

Bangai-O is hands-down the best game on the dreamcast. A must have, definitely!
Whats the rant? Post it here :).
I'm not a violent person, but I would beat up anyone I saw using those anywhere outside of a park or their backyard.
Well.. you got the price right, at least.
You're saying downloading the software, installing it, running it --- is easier than popping off a couple of keys?
Come on now. Be honest with yourself. Wasn't this the most overhyped movie you ever saw?
a wet fish hitting a bench --- ?!

I would totally play that nethack hack.
Are you implying that the appropriate time to advertise Linux is during Oprah?
IRAQ: The Americans are on the run, we are preparing for victory!
LIBERIA: I am preparing to leave office!
SCO: We are preparing our evidence!
