Any local or national law will easily be circumvented by the companies in question (and there is no such thing as global law). Spyware will be fought by secure systems, not by legal rulings (although moral support from the legal system is certainly welcome).

The parent post is an 419 email that I got today. Annoying as it is, I can only say: legalize nigerian scams! Anyone stupid enough to actually fall for this type of scam deserves to lose their money!
