    In queens there are arcades all over, if its worth it for you to take the drive out. There is one by main st in flushing, one in bay terrace shopping center in bayside, and one in the shopping center with a keyfood in college point. I remember all of these having one or two pinball machines.

    This is exactly the kind of stuff they have been making movies about, uber hackers taking over stuff and causing trouble. This would make a kinda boring movie though, because its probobly not some glamish kids who talk funny and rollarblade around some big city, its probobly some old fat guys who drink too much diet pepsi.

    The rumor that I heard goes that they licensed some tech from a company who is probobly SGI and can't relsease the specs because of this. The fact that they make their own linux drivers because they can't hand out the specs is somthing to really commend them on.

    Even though I am greatly against those who would take away our abortion rights, I agree with you. Everytime someone is told they cant say somthing, then there is a possibily that they may try to silence me. Its not often i find myself cheering for the christians, but cases like this are good to remind people that there are no good guys or bad guys. Ahh the joys of a civilization.

    I didn't think of that thanks for pointing it out. My point was though that I saw a lot of posts all like "good for them they deserve it" and I thought it is rather silly to complain about a law being used against you but when they use it against someone you dont like you cheer.

    It seems many of you think this is a good thing because of thier atacking the bnetd project. You all really couldnt be more hypocritical. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Blizzards actions may have been wrong, but so are sonys (arguably). If you are going to condem one instance of it, you should condenm every single action taken by a corporation that tries to limit the freedom of others to protect thier profits. To do otherwise makes you look very dumb.

    Your enemy's enemny is not your friend if both are your enemy.

    And at the rate that I see people pirate starcraft (every friend i know has a copy and me and one other people are the only ones who have ever bought it) it should a lot more because in just my expierience alone I have seen them loose at least a few hundred that needs to be made up in sales. The logic just doesnt hold. 10 pounds is what people will pay for it so thats what it costs.

    You dont pay for warez users. The games will always cost as much as they think most people will pay for them. Capitalism works this way, they set the price at a place where they can make the most money. Stores have been using this for years as a reason why people shouldn't shoplift and why you should be mad at shoplifters, nice to see the softwar industry caught on to this silly lie. The only people who pay are the companies that make these products, and with software that is arguable because you can infinitly reproduce it at very little cost.

    On a friday night approx 1 in 10 people driving are drunk. Drunk drivers arent as dangerous as you might think they are.

    And in New York there have been recently two cases that I know of where a drunk cop hit someone driving (one he killled a whole family, the other he put my friend in the hospital). In both cases the cops didn't get in any trouble.

    The analogy to traffic cops is wrong. Traffic laws are in place (largely -- this is another debate) to protect the individuals using the roads.

    Traffic cops are out there to give tickets and get money. Internet cops would be out there to get money. I see the analogy as quite the same. Neither protect the people, but both steal money from them under the guise that they do.

    Go to court and try to win this one. This case is even more riduculous than the others, and if it goes to court there is a good chance that it might get the DMCA struck down. Then of course it might just get thrown out because he isn't really violating the DMCA. But either way he shouldn't back down from it.

    And the UI is the standard UI for first person shooter games: WASD and the mouse to look around. dont need more than that.
