not only that, but that's the way any PHP script would handle session/cookie setting after an error. If content's already been output to the browser (error messages, duh) there's no place to send headers.
the only way you can handle this is by catching exceptions. and yes, that'd be drupal's concern, not Gallery's.
First of all, serenity doesn't care about technobabble, which was increasingly my pet peeve with 'trek.
"The engine is dead." "Well, go 'n fix it, damn it."
Second of all, the universe is incredibly well thought out. It's a universe that actually feels like It Hasn't Been Done Before which this day and age is rare.
Third... It's funny. damn funny. Characterization is awesome, and the use of humor is on the highest level of Whedonness. I remember having diet coke come up my nose when in episode "Jaynestown" the locals on one planet started their tribute to Jayne. (This makes more sense if you see the whole episode - Jayne's not really one you'd expect to have a tribute written for.)
I could go on, but I'm a horrible rambler, so that's it for now.
I'm more concerned with how to handle previous versions of IE if they introduce these features. They better make sure that the usual box model hacks are ignored by IE7.
as sorry as I feel for having to possibly cripple Mark/Space's sales, Tiger compatibility is not coming until the end of june. Considering I'm most likely picking up a new PB with Tiger on it next friday, their timing is very awkward.
Granted, they have been left hanging for forever from what I hear, but that doesn't explain why a company who develops for OS X only hasn't had the time to update either their newest product for Hiptop or their existing product for PocketPC to an OS that's coming out in 9 days.
Sadly, Apple's "skins" are about as tight as, oh, the Comic Book Guy's skin lately.
Jacked up GUI discisions up the wazoo, and then adjusting the HI guidelines-- that's the New Apple.
Not that I'm not drooling for 10.4 to come out...but look at the Normal/metal/platinum trio of "skins" in 10.4, shake your head at the Mail.app controls (if they're anything like the MWSF build from last year), and shiver at the inconsistent eyecandy that is only consistent because they changed the rules to match.
you're aware that that kind of petty treatment is unlikely because of a) the spinoff of Freescale already mentioned and b) the connection between Jobs and Zander. Zander was at Sun when Jobs was running NeXT and I'm guessing the two got together because of the OPENSTEP initiative.
Also Motorola works in distinct business units; it'd be like shunning IBM from offering consultation on your mainframe setup because five years ago your Thinkpad got 8 dead pixels all of a sudden.
They mention that that the machine alltogether cost about 300 dollars. Show me where i can find a 1U rackmount for 150 dollars and I'll gladly order a few of those for my own personal use.
If Brooks really wants to do a good satire, he'll open SpaceBalls II with a flashback to the Yogurt scene 'SpaceBalls II' and then re-dub the dialogue to have a different title for SpaceBalls. Preferably by one of those bad-asian-flick re-dub voice actors, clearly re-dubbed and badly synched.
It'd be the perfect jab at Lucas's revisional approach to Star Wars...
I'm hoping someone's working on a Chatzilla-standalone... I mean, Songbird is the only *bird name that I can think of that doesn't sound contrived. Therefore, it's a good idea!
Against all recommendations before (which go for the more comic-geeky, yesteryear X-men material of Chris Claremont, which might be a bit too much for some), I'd recommend the current stuff like...
the recent stuff by Grant Morrison is also good, a good twist on the stuff you might or might not remember, and best of all, without the INSANE AMMOUNT OF BAGGAGE required to grasp some of the older stories:
Loved X-Men as a kid, but shit, until Morrisson picked up one of the core books, X-Men storylines were more in-bred and in-joke than the Summers Family Tree.
iCab... not even going to bother. I'm hoping you'll see the connection.
My point?
The Mozilla group is making a Big Mistake with the upcoming changes.
Point one: not naming their browser after a car. People want to see their browsers named after cars. If Microsoft does it, it HAS to have been researched on the market.
Two: People want to see monolithic browsers using up resources like there's no tomorrow. With every major browser out there named after either an SUV, a minivan or a sporty pickup-type-car, gas guzzling is a must-have feature in a browser.
Therefore, I proclaim Mozilla's 1.5 efforts flawed, and doomed, like BSD.
Not to troll on my first post, but this is kinda dissapointing. Slashdot is always pretty up to date on things relating to *nix and whenever ESR sneezes there's a post about it, however now we find a post about the previous build of Whistler. This was news about 2 months ago, kids.
Here's the lowdown.. The build number of the latest build that leaked out is 2257. They introduced actual theming (but still very restricted, nowhere near the level of customization that Windowblinds offers.
Should/. users (and or admins.. lets keep the info current shall we) wish to keep up to date, here's a few URLS to keep you busy:

Oh and Tiger Direct is not really a "third-rate mail order house"
I agree. Based on my past dealings with them and their "customer service" department I'd say they're a sixth-rate mail order house, tops.

rtfa?
and this is YRO... how?
I can see the FCC connection, but I doubt that was his main motivation when the words "multi-million dollar" are used.

Meanwhile, the Dutch Government announces that it still will not acknowledge any responsiblity for Adam Curry and/or his haircuts.

Whoah.
Deja Vu.
ByeMusic.
It's been, what, 10 minutes, and no Wondertwins jokes have been made.
NFD Twins... activate! Form a transaction!
's easy.

Hmmm..
Against all recommendations before (which go for the more comic-geeky, yesteryear X-men material of Chris Claremont, which might be a bit too much for some), I'd recommend the current stuff like...
Ultimate X-Men Collection 1: The Tomorrow People
Ultimate X-Men Collection 2: Return to Weapon X

(Try the mutant veal. I'll be here all week.)
