    Check the "pause iTunes during call" box, in the advanced tab in the preferences. Thats one step less.

    I think you are on to something, here is an article in the economist http://www.economist.com/finance/displayStory.cfm? Story_id=4054876 where their CEO alludes to this. Not all people use eBay as a place to sell their old TV, some actually run their entire business via eBay.

    I bought the (beta) book Agile Web Development with Rails a week ago. So far Rails looks like a really cool web framework. Who knows perhaps will I participate in next Rails Day 2006.

    Actually it is not that unusual that a person with insider knowledge (Chairman, CEO) uses the company cash to buy the company(keeping his/her own shares ofcourse), he/she just have to fool the other shareholders into thinking that the real value of company is lower than it actually is, which is pretty easy for a CEO, ofcourse speculating against the other shareholders is illegal in most countries.

    They are already running out of cheap countries to relocate to. In 50 years the standard of living will be pretty much the same in the whole world, and it can only go up from there. However the ride into the future for the western world, will be bumpy and painful for sure.

    Is it really so difficult to make good CGI cities? It seems that adding some dirt and dents would make things look a whole lot better. Also for some reason rapid fly-bys always look awful, too "clean" in my opinion, it should look more like it was filmed with a camera, with all the visual artifacts that comes from that.

    I think you can use grep to only display the lines you want. GCC outputs warnings in a pretty standard way, it should be easy to write a regexp to filter it.

    Supposedly the PowerPC 970 MP (Dual-core) comes with 1M L2 cache. The system Think Secret describes only have 512K L2, which means that it is the old single core version.

    Now you can search for quotes, without having to strip half of the words away. Just cut and paste it in to the browser. I guess this will also make it easier to search for source-code, as it is now you will likely end up at a documentation - site. When you want is some sourcefile from some Sourceforge project.

    I had a teacher who told us that Cadence and the others spent extremely much money on research during the dot.com boom, then when the downturn hit they had to shelf a lot of that research. Hopefully now that the economy is picking up they will be able to conclude their research.

    How long until bookstores forbid the use of camera phones? I think many bookstore owners would be less than pleased if people only entered their store to be able to buy books from some other place.

    Most countries have taxation deals with the US. Meaning you dont pay twice, you never pay more than the tax rate that is the highest (hint. its probably not the US)
