    It's worth remembering how small a quantity of RAM 128k really is. That's the same amount of RAM as 2 Commodore 64's, 3 ZX Spectrums, or 1/4 of an Atari 520ST. Most competing systems with comparable RAM were text based with little or no GUI available. Most other machines with a GUI (Atari ST, Amiga) shipped with a minimum of 512k usually

    Most kids. I'm 25 and am happiest sat in front of my Amiga, or toggling the switches on my PiDP-8

    Most kids today have grown up in a world with apps, smartphones and a complete disregard for data privacy, and i hate it with a passion. My iPhone won't even play music if it can't get a good 3G signal any more. That was a simple fix though, i took out the SIM card and put it in a Nokia 3310

    Yeh, they're fucked. I've been watching their stock price tumble over the last few days. Maybe by the end of the week i'll be able to buy the remnants of the company with the change i have in my back pocket.

    After a breach that big, it's hard to see them coming out of the other side as a financially sound company. Especially since it's an agency the deals with credit ratings. If you can't trust them to keep your data secure, is there any point having business with them?

    I'll be here waiting for the news of their bankruptcy

    It might be an old source, but Apple seem to still trounce Samsung on profit margins...

    God knows how though, samsung's phones are expensive to buy and cheaply built compared to Apple's. Maybe labor costs are a factor...

  18. Yup, and after my dad forked out an insane quantity of money for a SONOS sound system a few weeks ago, i'm going to hunt down some vintage stuff and show him where he's going wrong.

    Plus, it's just nicer not to have your stereo connected to the internet IMHO. Also, analogue or bust.

    We have a water taxi in my home town. no, it's not an amphibious car, it's a crappy dinghy with an outboard motor on it. Taxi != car

  20. That's all this "Air Taxi" company will be. Another company sapping the cash from venture capitalists. I expect this will be one of the last times we hear from them, before they inevitably go under. And i guess that'll be in a few years.

    It makes it look less likely to be from a government agency. Stuxnet got traced back because it was clearly the work of a major intelligence agency. If you make it look like some idiot in his bedroom wrote it, chances are they'll believe some idiot in his bedroom wrote it.
