Since in our days most (if not all) companies have given access to law enforcement agencies to their data nodes, giving them the unristricted right to monitor conversations, what will this new device lead us to? Having a GPS on your mobile phone will only give your position (with the slight error applied to commercial GPS's) to anybody with access to the data of mobile phone companies.
and yeah, ive been reading alot of alt.conspiracy, so what ?:)
yeap, and besides, telecom standards do not allow higher rates than 56k to go through the phone lines anyways.
as for the text issue, yeah right, how many pages use a big amount of text nowadays (that can be effectively compressed blah blah bla) and is NOT dynamic ? 20% is my estimation.
" Looks like Red Hat is moving towards the windows XP style " Well suprise suprise, but i remember the times when the KDE 'display properties' window was exactly the same as the MS one on Win9x and NT.
The whole point it to get people to use something new, not get them to use something new by making it look like something familiar. Im not suggesting a total makeover but originality would be a nice touch:>
well, call me weird but the image doesnt seem all that great to me. sure, its better than nothing, but its absolutely nothing. i doubt it that this 10x10 range will be any good. the idea is pretty good thought and with proper R&D it can develop to someting helpful...
hmmmm, i am not so sure this/. article was worth posting, it seems the whole thread has become one big advertisment for people to advert their favourite/owned companies...
well, i use an SMP system as well and i confirm that, the vast majority of application do not natively support SMP and its up to the OS to calculate and mantain some kind of threads for the application.
But, what does a home box using SMP ( 2 CPU's ) have to do with a supercomputer ? You just cant compare them, can you ?
well, lets suppose a fire broke in a netcafe in the US or some other EU country . DO you really think that the authorities would respond to it by shutting down alla the net-cafes ? Once again, the Chinese goverment IS actually trying to stop information from flowing. Its a fact, there is no need to relate this to anything.
Searching previous/. articles would reveal this as well...
Well, just a question for all you bigmouths... What would Starwars be now without the help of the fans ? Sure, ignore the fans , if they are 10 - 20 or even 1000. But dont ignore a whole fucking planet of them who have actually built something.
there have been other modification for concole's to play DiVX formatted movies. The most widely known was DCDiVX - http://www.moosegate.com/betaboy/dcdivx/ . A free player for Sega's Dreamcast to play DiVX movies. Well, from firtst hand experience i know this player was buggy as hell and had alot of problems.
And as we all know, this didnt help Sega very much, DC is down to 50$ or so, some sales increase that was.
Its a cool hack - hope it works - but it wont affect jack.
" They thought it was unseemly and undignified for Yoda to bounce through the fight like a Superball loose in a toy store. "
Yes, i have to agree with that, Lucas is a complete moron. Always was and always will be. He completely disregarded all the background the fans had created for the various characters in the movie ( for example Boba Fetts story ) and managed to ruin things once again.
Not to mention the whole film was PACKED with CG. I mean, ok, sure, CG are nice and helpfull, but for god's sake, do use some real actors and scenert at some point. Every signle thing in the movie was CG'ed. I dont know, it just didnt feel like the StarWars people loved and respected anymore.
As for the duel scene, it was a complete disaster IMHO. Many people in the theatre laughed and laughed after it, when Yoda grabbed his stick to help him walk. Sure, Yoda uses the force blah blah blah, but dont make the duel act as a comic relief. We await for Episode III - Lucas Epic Disaster.
Ah, we see yet another attempt to keep information from the people ? will they succeed ? i doubt it , but it will sure be fun to watch them try.
people have to understand that information cannot be kept free. As long as there is the internet, with chat rooms, email and web pages, people will always learn what they werent supposed to. Knowledge is power.
well, anybody who stores his cc info in a file "credit cards.xls" and then shares it is one.
Good news for sun or not ?
on
IBM Spins Down
·
· Score: 1
well, i am not sure about this, but i believe Sun's 2 major hdd suppliers were Seagate and IBM.. they had 2 suppliers since at a certain time, Seagate alone could not provide them with the requested amounts..
well now, since IBM's are owned by Hitachi, Sun does no longer have to buy their disks from a competitor.. they buy them from from a partner !
Ill agree with this, no case.
further more, dosent the EULA cover this up nicely "no actual or implied responciblity whatsoever".
The actually agreed they cant touch MS before they even installed the product...
Yup, ill have to agree with this...
....
ive played many games that have hooked me , doom, quake etc etc but NOTHING like system shock 2.
Yelling at 3AM to my house mate 'The many sing to us' and him screaming 'We are, we are we areee'

filthy quotes and sleezy humour all the way!
~There is no evidence that mobile phones interfere with communications~
You dont need evidence. Evidence is when a plane looses its com control and crashes. Evidence is *too late*.
