    I work for a Wireless ISP and this exact problem came up. Our solution, limit the customers usage, not on their unit, but on our hardware. This allows them to get the exact bandwidth(+/-) they paid for. Only overhead that has to be done is configuration on the "throttle box" when a new customer signs up.

    I don't see it as the customers fault, I see it as the ISP not doing their job protecting their investment. TOUGH SHIT FOR THEM!!!

    The Crystal Method - Vegas
    Leftfield - Leftism (Probably the greatest Electronica/Ambient/Dance Album ever created)

    I'd also check out older Moby, Faithless, Prodigy, and anything by the Hardkiss brothers.
    Also, anything on Astralwerks, Moonshine, or Harthouse labels(though they might not exist anymore).

    These selections are the beginning of modern electronic music. A must if you plan to delve into it seriously.

    Why? Because the shows, papers, and news media with which you are referring to are probably owned by the corporations that back this bill. Do you think for a second a media outlet is going to bring opposition into light, a bill it is backing? Wake up! The mass media controls to much for an effort like this to be brought center stage. I'm all for defeating this bill, but I'm sorry to say that you will have to do it on realistic terms.

    "....Legislation to prevent self-help technologies would be unwise and unfair."

    And copy-protected cd's don't destroy fair-use. Even though efforts like this against greedy corp's like the RIAA are good, it's still fighting a cause that shouldn't be allowed in the first place. Personally, I'm curious to see what he comes up with as a revision to the DMCA.

    Microsoft's Legal department has filed suit against God citing violation of the DMCA for accessing the Windows source code. In response to questioning, God replied, "I haven't destroyed them yet?"
