Cheap paper sleves are for Drivers, not AAA title games.
I noticed that Microsoft has abandoned jewel cases for its game releases also. They ship a cardboard box with a (printed, in color) cardboard sleeve for the disc. I think there are two reasons for this: cost and environmental friendliness. It's not such a bad idea to start cutting down on the plastics production that's rotting in landfills all over the world. If you're hell-bent on a jewel case, take an extra one and print out a spiffy cover for it or something. Or get a CD-organizer, they are quite handy.
One thing that's often overlooked when the "all taxes are bad" arguments surface is this: governments provide a (sort of) stable infrastructure within which to do business. Your tax dollars give you the following:
-a currency that (hopefully) won't fluctuate wildly -a justice system that deters and attempts to correct bad business practices. -physical infrastructure (roads, etc)
there are of course others, but the main point I'm trying to make is that governments provide a little more than we give them credit for. THIS IS NOT AN ARGUMENT ON WHAT THE SIZE OR SCOPE OF GOVERNMENT IS. I DO NOT ENDORSE EITHER SIDE OF THIS ISSUE. I'M XGAMER04 AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE.
The local Radio Shack that I shop at still does this. I bought some audio connection converters and they wanted my address, phone #, etc. I was paying in cash:P
Linux works on more "computers" than Windows. Think of all the architectures Linux can run on. You can count the number of architectures Windows runs on on one hand.
I love how every time someone mentions ogg in an ipod thread, they get OMG TROLL attached to them. Just because someone is pointing something out doesn't mean they are trying to kill your sacred cow. Grow up, please.
if you are in a public place, you cannot turn that TV off as it's not solely yours.
So, does this mean that I can't use a door in a public place since it's not "completely mine"? Unless we're talking about a sports bar or a Radio Shack, TVs are generally not watched in public places.
I think the difference here is the fact that they're trying to be funny, where the older Red vs. Blue episodes just were funny. It's kind of the same thing as Strong Bad's email, where it was originally funny, but is only sometimes funny now.
Q. Why did you choose to live in Portland, and what's your impression so far of the Northwest? One person told me you moved there because it looks like Finland. Is that true?
A. Well, the Northwest is certainly more like Finland in the sense that California is not like Finland.
I don't know why I remember this, but when I was in Elementary school, a friend of mine drew a comic that included a "character" known as the Nerd Herd.

Linky: Sonic X-Treme.
Enjoy.
So that leads me to wonder... which GNU/Linux or BSD distros have good support for this kind of hardware currently?
NetBSD?
*ducks*

What, buying game developers?
The local Radio Shack that I shop at still does this. I bought some audio connection converters and they wanted my address, phone #, etc. I was paying in cash :P
The one product I would recommend is Goo Gone. It works very well on nasty price-sticker adhesive and other gross stuff.
Mass emulation basically killed the vintage game collector market.
Sure it did. That's why most all Square games from NES/SNES go for tons on ebay, as well as not-so-rare games like Super Metroid.
The NAME OF THE COMPANY is LinuxCertified, inc. They sell computers and do linux training. It's not some sort of certification.
If you can remember all the way back to 2001, you might recall a situation in which a certain game system didn't meet pre-order sales.
I know it's a bit late, but you need to remember this:
OMG N1NT3ND0 SI T3H D00M3D!11

a) People are educated, and are shown the errors of their actions, IE: if they respond to spam, beat them to a pulp
;)
I think it's funny that you could've stopped at:
a) People are educated, and are shown the errors of their actions, IE
and it would basically be half the problem right there.
Locking the door would be the equivilent to turning off the TV.
Unlocking the door would be the equivalent of turning off the TV. A door that's locked causes inconveniences to some, as a TV that's on would.
Using the door is askin to watching the tv dumbass.
I wasn't aware that there are people named "Using the door" and a thing called a "tv dumbass". Thanks for telling me about these.

Barnes & Noble were actually college suppliers/retailers before they went into "mainstream" bookstoring.
Definitely the best line:
and I don't know why, but it made me laugh.
You ever wonder why we're here? ....
To get Halo 2, dumbass!
Well, I just finished writing a paper that's due today, so I'll have to say "thanks".
So I should be able to legally spy on you? One of the last things a society needs is to be protecting perverted Eddie spying on his neighbor's kids.
Isn't GT4 going to have actual AI this time around? That's a pretty big improvement, at least in my book...
but hey, i'll probably wait for the greatest hits version anyway.

And x% of people with old, crappy winME boxen get their techie friend to install XP for an, uhh, extremely "discounted" rate.
