The networks would get no money for this though. The companies pay the movie makers to put the product placement in. Once they are in the movie, they are not going to pay the TV stations to play the movie. The TV stations will still have to pay for the movie, and get money back for it somehow. The only way this would work is if it had dynamic content, which the station could be payed into putting into the movie, which would mean the movie is not how the director intended it to be. (Think: obtrusive advertising - placing objects infront of actors, or stuff that doesn't fit with the time/era of the film)
There was a/. article on this a week or two ago I think.
You will get better results using the magic eye technique on "parrallel" as BJH further down this thread discovered.
A common misconception of the magic eye technique is that you can go cross-eyed to see them. While this is correct, the images are inside out as the wrong eye is looking at the wrong image.
Magic eye pictures require the left eye to look at the left image, and the right eye to look at the right image (Think of looking past the picture instead of in front)
It's harder to get the hang of, but much easier on your eyes for prolonged viewing.
Also, how many times have you accidentaly called someone cause you're phone was moving round in your pocket. With this kind of technology, you'd just start hearing voices.
Something about this whole thing just doesn't feel practical.
I don't know that that would actually work. The randomness of flipping the coin has nothing to do with the coin itself, but how it's flipped.
If you mechanicalise the action of flipping, you are removing that randomness.
In order to get a random result from flipping a coin, you have to flip it randomly. Catch 22 if you ask me.
Nothing is random! Things can just be reasonably complex, and seemingly unpredictable.
I wouldn't think too highly of them. They can't spell very well....
it pops up on my radeon!

I wonder what the frame rate of the nvidia add is on the different graphics cards...

Disclaimer: I own an XP1700.
So you obviously live in a lazy incorrect part of NZ.
My guess is Auckland.
nah, I'm not British, I'm a New Zealander!
:)
We do in NZ however follow the British definition for a billion, which IS one million million....
Welcome to slashdot
That's not a billionth, that's only a thousand millionth.
A billionth would be 10^-12
Silly americans.....
I stand corrected.
I think any planet you find in your back yard would have to be an 'intersolar' planet....
Oh great. You just had to mention downloading MP3s didn't ya?
Now the RIAA is gonna make sure this technology never becomes mainstream....
Almost...

It's the classic western medicine solution. Cover up the symptoms, no more problem!
However, this is a good idea along with reducing the cause, because stopping the cause now won't reverse any of the damage already done.
um... I hope that's a british billion...
otherwise I've got something to worry about..
ubergeek2: "Little did you know that I have the cloak of Cholesky! Prepare to die!"
How about - "Prepare to be reduced to row echelon form@!#!@"
and you no longer have it
;)
You could always buy a copy back off the shelf
1,000 = one thousand
1,000,000 = one million
1,000,000,000,000 = one billion
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 = one trillion
You americans are silly.
