    or the pentium III 600 mailserver my ex company is still using for 50 + heavy mailusers is not enough either.

    (I just didn't tell them it was a cast off PC with 2 drives mirrored.)

    Ha mine were old COBOL programmers.

    These guys were hilarious.

    They drank like fish (I guess that's why they taught rather than did), and took astronomically long to help debug a program.

    I guess they were busy doing up mock identification divisions for my assembler programs to get their heads around it.

    I think there are still plenty of COBOL programmers around. Not all of them retired after Y2K.

    It's the admins that are hard to find.

    That's COBOL, I think he said JCL (Job Control Language).

    P.S The JCL would be longer than that program.

    I always wondered why there was a deluge of Catholic kids every year appearing in Grade 11.

    Then I found out that the government funding (used to ) cut off at Grade 10.

    And they get all the loose girls too...

    Audit?

    Why audit when you can CHARGE for fixes?

    Why audit when you will be releasing a new version (at a cost) every 2 years?

    Why audit at all unless your product is free and has a lifecycle longer than it's bug list?

    Corporate desktop?

    I am using this as we speak and I am at home.

    It's easier to stick the fast/big/noisy machine is a spare room (in the basement) and use cheap OLD laptops over 802.11 instead.

    Ghost works better with 2000 and XP (in terms of different hardware) than it did with 98/NT4

    At the very least, the later ones can boot and somewhat self configure. Just standardize on your nics.

    they may not pay you true.

    but the judgement doesn't just disappear either.

    IOt leaves when payment is made and it is fully discharged. Re-read the article paying specific attention to how it was discharged and whan terms were there (21 days if no further action is brought forth)
