has new meaning. one word stupid
"Of course you know, this means war!"
it might be cheaper than all those long distance calls to hookers and wives
if people don't "understand" their cars, Pep boys et all are sure in for a huge wakeup call. It boils down to this: learn things and save money (and get smarter as a side bonus)
or the pentium III 600 mailserver my ex company is still using for 50 + heavy mailusers is not enough either. (I just didn't tell them it was a cast off PC with 2 drives mirrored.)
Ha mine were old COBOL programmers. These guys were hilarious. They drank like fish (I guess that's why they taught rather than did), and took astronomically long to help debug a program. I guess they were busy doing up mock identification divisions for my assembler programs to get their heads around it.
I think there are still plenty of COBOL programmers around. Not all of them retired after Y2K. It's the admins that are hard to find.
ok about Hello World? That's COBOL, I think he said JCL (Job Control Language). P.S The JCL would be longer than that program.
looks suspiciously like a Sun running Solaris 8 (at least that's what the uname says) but why spoil a good post with data?
it is a weird thing. I always wondered why there was a deluge of Catholic kids every year appearing in Grade 11. Then I found out that the government funding (used to ) cut off at Grade 10. And they get all the loose girls too...
relax. We have really good weed up here. They were just joking around. Must have been that Jedi bud going around last census time..... Like Weed tea?
Then why now Mozilla Explorer 6.2 (SP3 with ... security fixes) See we are way ahead of Microsoft
I prefer Lance There goes my karma........->
I guess no one else appreciated the joke. I thought it was funny but then I did see that Hair treatment how-to thing Romero did a while back. Now THAT was funny.
The Ralph Bakshi years. (Ok so I wasn't a kid then but those were funny) Remember kids: Force doesn't work on a crustacean
gambas is coming along. I think it's at gambas.sourceforge.net
I don't think they are discussing the mailbox protocols here. I think it's the transports (MTA I believe, think MX records)
Audit? Why audit when you can CHARGE for fixes? Why audit when you will be releasing a new version (at a cost) every 2 years? Why audit at all unless your product is free and has a lifecycle longer than it's bug list? (Why? Ask Theo, he'll tell you)
Corporate desktop? I am using this as we speak and I am at home. It's easier to stick the fast/big/noisy machine is a spare room (in the basement) and use cheap OLD laptops over 802.11 instead.
Ghost works better with 2000 and XP (in terms of different hardware) than it did with 98/NT4 At the very least, the later ones can boot and somewhat self configure. Just standardize on your nics.
This has a side effect (benefit?) of having many eyes on ONE system. If we had private insurance, well look south..... The scams and all-night ambulance rides abound.
check ACs link it was a trouncing. Much as I personally prefer clones to dells, way to go Mike. (and it is a Mac site)
really? You mean I can sue Microsoft over a bug? Would $500 per instance be too greedy? Where is that attorney from the earlier post..
ummm, Do you know what generated the page you are looking at? Hint: The software was free.
they may not pay you true. but the judgement doesn't just disappear either. IOt leaves when payment is made and it is fully discharged. Re-read the article paying specific attention to how it was discharged and whan terms were there (21 days if no further action is brought forth)
