So no Maschine on Linux => no Linux for me for composing.
And it's the same when I mix, I use some really expensive plug-ins like the Flux Spring bundle and nothing in the Linux world can even start competing with this kind of high grade tools.
Plus, why would I change to Linux? I mean, it cannot in any way ease my life, it can only bring problems because when I have an issue that I can't solve on my machine, I call the editor and they help me fix it, sometimes they even make an update to fix the issue.
So the thing is not about Linux being able to provide good tools, it's about Linux being able to provide professional tools, which is a different thing.
Linux is def a no no for professionnal music making and mixing.
Plus, 7 works really really fine, like did XP and 2000.
And as I'm tech savvy, I like building my own system so Apple computers don't interest me. And don't talk to me about Hackintosh, I need something rock stable.
