It has, but we've got to keep pushing. One day, all superstitions will be equally mocked and their followers shunned. Until then, all we can do is spread the word.

... for a modern update of the Note 3.

I've been using the same sm-n9005 since its release, and while I have no desperate need to upgrade, I would be willing if an appropriate replacement were available.

    An appropriate replacement has:

    - A user-replaceable, removable battery
    - Unlocked bootloader
    - Expandable storage
    - Amoled screen
    - Temperature, barometric pressure, and humidity sensors
    - Full IMU, GPS
    - 4-6gb RAM
    - Unlocked bootloader

That is, in fact, simply a list of the features of my current device, which came out at the end of 2013! There is currently nothing else on the market I can buy to replace it with, without sacrificing something. Manufacturers: please release a real flagship phone so I can buy it!

  5. I'm calling bullshit on this one.

An off-the-shelf xbox controller is not marine-grade. Its components will corrode. There is no sensor validation or redundancy. It uses a cheap plastic housing that will crack if impacted.

It does not make sense to potentially entrust the lives of hundreds on a cheap plastic toy controller. There's simply too much at stake.

Perhaps some parts of the controller will be included in the military-designed final product, but literally buying a COTS controller and integrating it aboard? Bullshit.

  8. Are you people retarded? Why would you glue the battery into the phone after Samsung's Note 7 debacle?

You do realize one of the only reasons to buy an LG phone over a Samsung phone is the longevity promised by a device without a battery that's been glued in, right?
