What do I do with my backups? I upload them to "backup servers", and in exchange for the service, I backup the server admins stuff from the backup servers. With a little bit of time and effort, and if you have good stuff to back up, you can have it mirrored at hundreds of hotsites all over the globe, making it virtually indistructable!
The computer labs at my school use windows workstations for the most part. They have macs too, but the are obsolete first gen G3s which no one knows how to maintain, and as a result, don't get used. At work, we use windows almost excluvivally for workstations, and netware on servers, because of all the legasy apps. Most of the web stuff is run off of linux though.
I could see either place switching to linux if the emulation and office compatability were better, but there are hundreds of scientific apps, and about a dozen custom prioprietary databases that are windows/dos only.
Don't worry: this is only the japanese version, designed with their market in mind. Here's a rundown of the rumored features of the American version:
10ft Balrog formfactor
Acetelyne driven in head to give it authentic Balrog look and industry leading Knaw.
Feet include built in retractable heavy duty rollor blades for high speed street use, and lower speed offroad action.
Balrog Bat flight module, for when running is not an option.
16ft sword, splash anodized for effect.
Broadband satalite uplink for sending realtime video as you rape and pillage Florida spammer's estate when not guarding your apartment against terrorists.
Optional grenade launcher, still undergoing ATF testing.
Low rader cross section. UltraLife Plutonium batteries
Wonder if his kit can serviceeverything at once? Combined with a headsup display, never again would one have to dread waiting for a bus or other boring stationary activities. Might raise a few eye-brows at an airport though. At least he wouldn't have to worry too much about confiscation. Heh.
You have to speak up to be heard over the blower noise.
there are burn marks on the walls from electrical fires.
When people ask about heating in the winter, I just laugh.

Is there anything preventing this new standard from being used for other peripherals like NICs and SCSI cards? If so, why not just phase out PCI completely?
I don't know about the other stuff, but your OSPF adjacensy errors are caused by the routers not being level with each other. This can cause hello packets to pool near the interface of whichever router is nearer the ground. You can fix this problem by violently shaking the cable near the router interface for about 1 minute while it's plugged in.Good luck!
The choice should be clear... 1) learn to speak three lanuages fluently 2) become a tech god 3) leave school 4) set up your own international smut business 5) PROFIT!

Nothing like giving the lusers a false sense of security!
actually, in all seriousness, if you have G4 processor and 256 or more of ram, you'll have no trouble.
For the record, senator Ted Stevens (who co-sponsored the CBDPA if up for re-election tomorrow. He doesn't have any serious opposition though...
