    the difference between The Web and The Internet

    with The Web if you have a new computer (or one that was just reloaded because a virus ate Windows AGAIN) you
    start surfing around and spend the next 5 days trying to get all that "stuff" back on your computer (and have to babysit the installers to make sure you don't load any "extra" programs).

    with The Internet you grab your key with Ninite on it (you already picked out your list of programs) or hit ninite.com and make your picks and then run a program and THE POWER OF THE NETWORK allows you to worry about other things while all your programs are loaded (and nothing else is).

    What i would like to see is a Disc Builder that has

    1 a self booting Anti-[redacted]ware program
    2 a Patching program (like WSUSOffline)
    3 a Ninite type speedloader
    4 a set of "Gold" install files for Windows (to be used if the OS is trashed completely)
    5 a Keyfinder and basic backup program

    Please tell me you at least had a chat with the Store Manager since there is no reason to assault someone for tripping the alarm like that.

    1 its a good way for you to decide to refund your purchase
    2 those tags get fiddley anyway and its 50/50 if the tag gets reactivated when you try
    3 what happens if you had a tag from another store (with reverse logic)?

    WRONG a place with public access is still private property you can and in fact some places have LAWS (enforced by actual Police if needed) that are inside what is allowed by the general city laws.

    You can
    1 forbid weapons/guns
    2 require certain language (no swearing ect)
    3 require certain behavior
    4 exclude non-service animals
    5 just about anything else (certain things run afoul of nondiscrimination laws)

    and if you violate these LAWS you can be BANNED from that property (and afterwards be jailed for trespassing if you do return)

    The thing about Steams DRM/Platform is its not all that bad

    1 they are semi cool about redownloading games
    2 they include a patching service
    3 it works well and does not trash most systems in the process
    4 you buy in some cases multiplatform versions (i think some games if you buy the windows version but log into a Mac system it will download the Mac Version)

    in cases where a publisher does not ADD DRM on top (or otherwise futz with things) it looks to be the best setup around for DRM Platforms.

    So Steam is like a True Professional doing a hit on you Yah you end up dead but at least you are DEAD AND GONE not jammed into some hospital bed wondering why the pain meds don't work or crippled or...

    3 Also Jail the persons running the Call Center for a period of not less than 3 years (and bar them from running any other businesses)

    We should require that every person fit to vote (adults not a felon not crazy/senile) do so or have "standing votes" where if you declare as %party% then unless you formally vote otherwise you count as having voted for the %party% candidate (require formal voting every Nth time to remain an active voter).

    so if you are living in %other country% you might prefer an item made in %other country% unless you knew that %other country% was absolute rubbish in making %item%

    as a communications company (and a tier 1 operator) you 1 provide bandwidth at a given rate as per your contract with your customers 2 also provide other services

    You should not be futzing with either and btw if a given customer has a given speed paid for then IT SHOULD BE POSSIBLE FOR A GOOD AMOUNT OF TIME to actually get those speeds or you should prorate the customers bill until such a time as you can provide the speed paid for (so if a customer is paying for 5Mbps then say 40% of the time it should be possible otherwise they should be paying for what they are getting)

    hint if you have W cap at the switchbox and Y customers at Z speed with V% of them pegging the pipe at any given time the math goes YVZ= W about 40% of the time (or better)
