Tell me, why I can't find any mention of this in Amnesty International's campaign list? Suspicious... also, why.info?
You mean besides the:
Stop internet repression
Chat rooms monitored. Blogs deleted. Websites blocked. Search engines restricted. People imprisoned for posting or sharing information. The internet is a new frontier in the struggle for human rights. Governments, with the help of some of the world's biggest IT companies, are cracking down on freedom of expression. Join the irrepressible.info campaign to show that the human voice and human rights cannot be repressed.
It might of just been me, but I didn't think ItP was overly all that great. I mean sure with what they had to work with it was probably good, but watching the trailer I just thought it looked kinda stupid.
Look at the picture at http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41641000/jpg/_41641102_ufo_203.jpg [bbc.co.uk]. So much for being 'clearly not man-made'. How come the 'spaceship' is crystal clear while the rest of the image is blurred?
One brass instrument is faily similar to another once you learn slide positions/valve combinations and train your lips to fit the different sizes of the mouthpieces.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the bugle has no valves or positions, it's all dependent on the strength of the bugler. So no offense, but I doubt you could do it.
Doubt it, they're not psychic and I doubt the USPS scans it in for them (hey they might never know), the barcodes are more likely for when they do get it in, it's alot easier then having to type in numbers or names for returns and checkouts.
I used to get mod points almost once a week, then I started exerting my Republican viewpoint on Slashdot and I havent seen mod points in over a year and a half.
Comparing food to website customizability is like comparing Apples to Non-Newtonian fluids, it makes no sense.
Facebook isn't a sterile, sanitized interface, it's a well put together clean and smooth interface that doesn't break and is consistent on every page you visit. It's the Google of the social networking sites.
MySpace on the other hand, good luck finding anything on a page, much less trying to find the stop button on JRandomCrapSong that plays when you load a profile, or any sort of standard navigation menu.
Again I digress, I should stop feeding the trolls.
Judging from the moderation on my post it seems like the \. Sheeple have been to ingrained with "RFID is EVIL!". My post was hardly anything flamebait worthy, I'd like to see a valid criticism against RFID besides "OH NOES OUR RIGHTS!".
Considering Nintendo has been around since 1889, I think after almost 120 years they know how to run a successful business, and how and who they need to market to to continue to be a successful business.
Yes I know I shouldn't feed the troll, but it's precisely because of that 'circus of color, sound, and animation' why so many people despise MySpace. Visiting a MySpace is like playing Russian Roulette, some pages may be benign, but some could scar you for life.
Then again, if you actually were deaf and blind, MySpace's customizability would probably break any sort of standards and thus could almost guarantee any any sort of braille interface would probably die in fits of laughter when it saw a MySpace profile.
Oh noes, it's the end of the world! I mean look what happened with barcodes! People could track you from anywhere! What's that you say? You can't read them remotely? Well . . yes you can, with a Handy Dandy CAMERA! Yes for the low low price of $19.95 you can get a camera and take a picture of that barcode from 50 feet! Using our Super Duper Image Extrapolation software, you can read the barcode and steal their information!
placing the password in the code
How else are you supposed to do it? Or did TFA mean that it was stored in plaintext in the code?
You mean besides the:
Right smack dab in the middle of their homepage?
Maybe samzenpus had to post a story however crappy or he'd lose his Editor privlidges . . . . fuckifiknow.
Searches took place when users shared more than 500 files.
I hereby invoke my Triple-S Rule which stats: Sharing Shit (they) Shouldn't
News flash: Break the law, and you might get caught.
What about the traffic radar at EVERY FREAKIN' AIRPORT?
There are almost zero Airport radars that still use skin painting as a method for tracking airplanes, they all use transponders now.
You'd usually use tapes for archiving, not stuff you'd access alot.
The key word there is granted, not submitted.
Well atleast somebody knew where I was coming from with my comment :-(
Oh well, this *is* slashdot after all, can't expect them to have read anything.
Note to readers/RedPointyTail: Slashdot is US Centric, so unless clarified it's safe to assume that offers are valid for US only.

Munin doesn't have remote command execution problems like cacti did/does?
I dont know about you, but I'd rather not stand outside during a lightning storm in a big suit with lots of nice metal on it.

Might want to google up "Depth of Field"

Cue Big Brother Posts in 5 . . . 4 . . . 3 . . . err wait, this is Apple, "Apple is Good"(tm) right?
It's Perl the language, or perl the interpreter, there is no PERL, it's not an acronym.

Coincidence? Or a bitchslap from above?
Welcome to Slashdot, it's US centric you stupid brittish piece of shit.

Please I beg to ask you why the parent is offtopic? It shows how rediclous arguments against RFID are.

I digress, the technology isn't the problem.
