If I remember correctly, back when Microsoft started trying to think of something to tie to their new.NET naming scheme they had the idea that the version of Office beyond Office XP was going to be completely web based, where you would basically subscribe to it and log on via a webpage. Of course, seeing how the version beyond Office XP was Office 2003, they obviously changed their minds.
That was a joke, there was no Lemmiwinks episode. They had 2 different promos for that episode, one was the Lemmiwinks teaser but one was the promo for the actual awesomo episode (which kinda screwed up the joke.)
It was the same tactic the guys used for the "Who is Cartman's Father" episode, where instead of revealing the father they put some oddball Terrence and Philip episode on.
Get into your time machine and go get a G5 eMac for $600!

If you want Unix, install Linux or FreeBSD. Install SuSE, install Debian, Lycoris or even Lindows for that matter. There are choices in the Windows world.
Pssst. Linux isn't Windows. Just thought you should know.
If I do as you suggest, I'm looking at a $180 Playstation 2. A TV is, say $200. Virtual PC: $130. That's an extra $510 tax just to play games and run windows applications.
I'm willing to bet $5 he already has a TV. And a $180 PS2 will set you back almost as far as a decent videocard... oh and you don't have to pray your game starts whenever you want to play it either.
Stable. Check. I last saw a bluescreen crash about 18 months ago - due to a network card that failed. Yes, a hardware problem.
Windows XP... Stable... funny, never thought I'd see them in the same sentence together. I personally have NEVER seen an XP bluescreen... my WinXP never gets that far, just freezes up.
Virus free. Check. I'm sorry, but if you run random attachments you receive in the mail, you're asking for trouble.
Want some crack? 'Course you do! If you think opening email attachments is the only way to get a virus in Windows, you probably have never been on a corporate network where they spread like wildfire.
Low-stress. Check. Windows just works.
Stress is the reason I dumped my Windows PC after being a strict user since Windows 3.0. If MS can't make a decent OS, I don't want to give them any more money.
I don't think Apple's HyperCard ever ran on Windows, but I know there were plenty of HyperCard clones that did. They probably ported it to one of those for the Windows version.
I was surprised while reading about the death of Hypercard (like 3 days ago, way to stay on top of things Slashdot) to find that Myst was written in Hypercard.
Not that Myst is anything special, I hated that damn game. But still, its interesting to note.
Sorry to burst all the blind Steve Jobs fanbois but Apple may have the most market share in the mp3 player arena, but practically every single other mp3 that was ever manufactured supports WMA. I think that gives them plenty of leverage to enter the music business.
The purpose of iTMS is to sell iPods. So tell me again how supporting other MP3 players can help Apple sell iPods?
I don't think Apple is having problems selling iPods either.
>What about IE on linux? Huh?
:P
>Don't sound so smart now do ya?
Um, that made no sense whatsoever. Did you mean to paste in a link?
Don't sound so smart now, do ya?
I dunno, I'd prefer not to play a 3D game on such a small screen. I hope they stick with side-scrollers myself.
It said in the article that it could be accessed via Linux, so I don't see it requiring IE.

Four players, four gameboys... that suggests that each player has his/her own gameboy... makes sense to me.
Soon, copied films will be as rare as students lighting up a joint after their exams.
Wow, obviously they didn't goto my high school.

Good observation. We know that Leo runs a Mac at home, perhaps these two stories are tied?
I use to despise Macs (rightly so.) I didn't even give them much thought when OS X came out.
But after upgrading to XP I started looking more and more at apple.com, and when XP went belly up on me last November I bought an iBook.
Never looked back.

Apple is free?! Wow they really ripped me off on that laptop I just bought from them then
I live in a cave, you insensitve clod!
Where do you get this info from? $10 says "Reloaded" will just be bugfixes MS will charge for.
Just like Windows 98SE, MS probably said "hey, this up and coming service pack is pretty nice....... lets charge for it!"
Probably Windows XP Second Edition
I can finally catch that damn Wumpus on the go!!!
