But my favorite game of all time was Spacestation Pheta for Mac. The game was a great puzzle game, you also had the ability to create new puzzles for other people.
* Cans spam. Eventually, commercial pitches for recycled printer cartridges and barnyard porn can be stopped before they hit your inbox--while unsolicited mail that you might want to see can arrive if it has credentials that meet your standards.
They put filters on the line if they catch you doing it. I was getting free cable for 6 months, I didn't splice the line but I had an old cable installation in.
It was a big one. It was just very deep in the earth, didn't cause much damage. If it was near the surface we would have had probably one of worst earthquakes in history. Glad we didn't.
I can see it now.. Imagine Charles Heston in a station wagon trying to go to a family event... he takes a wrong exit. Hours later, he figures out that he took a wrong exit.
He parks the car, steps out.. kneels to the ground with fists in the air.. "Damn you OSAMA!!! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!!!"
The german translation has a few interesting editorial replies. I re-translated them: 10 What do you think about George Bush? Do you believe in God? What are your basic ethical values in every day social life?
Robert Duffy: He has done a great job under intense pressure. I am glad he is our president. Yes but not like most people probably do. I try to be a good moral human on a daily basis.
KDE was amazingly simple. just "emerge --pretend kde" to see what'll be installed.. then: "emerge kde" It downloads the source for every part of KDE and builds them optimized for your system with your specifications. KDE isn't exactly a quick compile though. I did my X/KDE compile overnight.
I personally think Gentoo is a LOT better than slack. Biggest problem I have with Slack is knowing what to install during an initial install. Slack has a ton of stuff I don't know if I should or want to install selected as default, even in expert mode. Debian and Gentoo have eliminated this problem by letting me install a very simple base system and installing programs that I know I want, getting the dependencies automatically. It's great. A lot easier and newbie friendly. Gets rid of the tedium too.
It's very simple. The RIAA spends so much money shoveling garbage down our throats that even though record sales have been up overall over the last couple of years the RIAA is pissed that the bands they spend so much money on are losing sales. Major example of this is Mariah Carey's Glitter album. That album bombed so badly they PAID her to get the hell off their label so they wouldn't lose any more money. Mp3s give the power to the people to choose and support bands they actually like, not bands that the RIAA thinks you should like. Like Ebert said in the article.. the RIAA will lose even more money copy protecting the CDs by having Indie labels/bands/etc not protecting their CDs (because of macromedia fees I'm sure). Maybe this is a good thing.. who knows. We'll see.
Of course MySQL is a threat to the big database vendors, Microsoft is evil!

As far as I know, Linus isn't being paid to develop on the Linux kernel.
It's a community effort, so why complain about it?
Mulder.. that isn't a hideous space alien. That's Richard M. Stallman!
Flashbacks to 1kB/s? More like servers catching fire and exploding. :)
Nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh KATZMAN, KATZMAN.. katzman.
"To the KatzKave, KatzMan!"
Hmm..
Nintendo somewhat handicaped their market in that the Gamecube lacked the DVD support.
That isn't quite true. Panasonic (I think?) has a Gamecube/DVD player that is supposedly selling quite well in Japan/Europe.

Better business alignment with straightforward licensing and clarity of intellectual property ownership.
That's one reason listed on why Win2k Server is better than linux.
Straightforward licensing.
Mmmhmm.

Editor's note: Americans are so stupid!! Haha!!!
Because everyone knows that Gnome blows.
Quick answer:
A LONG TIME.
KDE was amazingly simple.

We'll be regarding the "one click" patent as the greatest innovation of mandkind!
Just you wait.

To come together on a project of this scale is indeed revolutionary. Nice troll though.
As long as the discussion's intelligent, what's the problem?
Intelligent discussion on Slashdot? No way!
They play a heavily edited and dubbed Cowboy Bebop. It just isn't the same.
I think the 9 voices that have signed will definetly shake up Microsoft.
No, it isn't supposed to be called "Donkey Pong". Nintendo created Donkey Kong. Monkey Ball is a Sega game ported from arcades.
It asks you if you want to register a Passport/.NET account. I've just been ignoring it.
