  1. 2002? 1992? Feh. Try 1967. on Spider-Man 2002 vs. Spider-Man 1992 · · Score: 2

    Spider-man, the Animated Series.

PS - If you really want to be True Believers, then the plot has to move slowly.

At that glacier rate, the movie would take,.... um.... about 27 years.

  2. Twofer thought on Turner CEO: "PVR Users Are Thieves" · · Score: 2

Am i robbing every other station if i watch PBS?

The cliche for PBS is that you're a thief if you watch and don't contribute. Nice twist.

But what about people who actively boycott sponsors because of show content? Another free-wheeling use of the term 'terrorist'?

  3. If it's not Football, it's something else on Matt Groening on Futurama, Simpsons and Fox · · Score: 2

The last few minutes of 11/26/00 episode of Futurama, "War is the H Word", was cut (in the East) for the certification of the Florida Electoral Votes. Then again, if they had to cut in, the timing couldn't have been better.

    ** SPOILER ALERT **

Bender had a bomb planted in him when he would say his favorite word, 'ass'. The gang got to him in time, and just as he said 'ass', he screamed the TV screen went blank for a few seconds, and they cut to the Fox News Alert.

Hmmm. Bender says 'ass' and Katherine Harris appears. I liked that doomsday ending best.

  13. 'Farscape Undressed' is a MUST on Farscape Returns Tonight · · Score: 5, Informative

'Farscape Undressed' serves as a visual FAQ (hosted by Ben Browder and Claudia Black, out of character) for those new to the series (the missus and I caught the first FU, and we because hooked on the show), as well as a recap to events leading up to the upcoming season/new shows (they updated the recap for the 2nd FU, to include all the then-new/now-old show).

In addition, there is behind-the-scenes commentary with the producers and the crew. And the bantering between Browder and Black playing off one another is a hoot and a half.

  14. Best. Arcade. Game. Ever. on Review: BZFlag 3D Tank Game · · Score: 4, Interesting

I'm not surprised about the addiction. It was so good for its time, even in its single-player mode, that the military took a look at it to train its troops.

The point is that there are times which you need to know what is happening locally, and hoping the story is big enough to carry on CNN isn't going to cut it.

After last week's pre-TOS Ferengi episode, I'm not surpised about anything they do with the show.

We bought a small fur-lined mouse for her to play with, and she goes batting it around, carrying it in her mouth, and dropping it off near us to toss so that she would fetch. She's also been knocking it under the fridge and doors, they meowing so that we'd go and get it.

Yep, she has *us* trained to play with the mouse!

Actually, JMS said that there were two reasons he decided to do this new show:
    1) Complete creative control
    2) Big budget. He could make "his idea" of the show a reality.

That's it. JMS already _had_ his SG-1/Andromeda with "Crusade". He is not going to have another tussle with the suits like with TNT.

Older and wiser is the key.

Unfortunately, Showtime is only available in digital on my cable system, so the analog Luddite cheapskate that I am, I'll wait until it hits syndication and/or video.
