Seems like an obvious answer (question) to me. Are you getting good grade? Grades are important. Also, I think it depends some on where you want a job. You lookin for a job at Google? Experience will play a big role too.
I don't ever expect music to be completely free. It's just not reasonable to think that.
However, if the users of this new P2P model are sharing the bandwith requirement, couldn't we also expect to share in the profits as well?
Now, I'm not going to be holding my breath, watching my mailbox for a check, but shouldn't the price of the songs be cheaper because of reduced costs? Isn't that _one_ of the freaking things that new technology is suppose provide? Helping to lower costs?
How often do you think you'll have to manage this white list?
What do you do about junk snail mail you get? Shouldn't you go down to the post office and complain to them that you shouldn't have to sort your mail? Ask them to apply a Bayesian filter on it before they put it in your box so that you can be happily unaware of junk mail?
Regardless of the number of people doing it, TV (and the media surrounding it) has changed quite a bit over the past 5 years.
My point is, that with statements like the one by Mr. (Mrs. ?) Lichtman, it looks to me like Microsoft is once again going to try and tell the world that they were the "innovators" that fundamentally changed the way people look at their TV, when we've been doing it for years now.
1. I have no idea when anything is on. TiVo and season passes take care of it all for me. 2. I have all my music where ever I have a TV. 3. I have access to all the family photos there as well. 4. All through a wireless connection. 5. I get the look of death if I let a commercial play for longer than a second, for christ's sake!
"This is going to fundamentally change people's perspective on television," said Moshe Lichtman, corporate vice president of Microsoft's television division.
Uh, earth to Moshe. Our perspective on television has already changed dramatically over the past 3 to 5 years (How long has TiVo been around? I know I've had one for at least 4 years.), and it was all done without Microsoft.
I'm sure this is just the beginning of the giant bullshit marketing plan describing all their upcoming TV "innovation".
I had an idea the other night. The MPAA should give movie goers a free DVD copy of every movie they go see.
Maybe you have to make it $1 or something? Either way, I think once you've paid to see a movie, you should not have to buy it for $15 or $20 if you want to see it again. No?
If you just want to wait till it comes out on DVD then it should only cost $5 to $10. Something like that.
Hey, a Bush supporter. Good for you. What's wrong? I hit a little too close to home? You want some wood?
The guys an idiot. Plain and simple. How bout you explain some of his reponses instead of resorting to questioning whether I still live with my mother or not?
That said, I wish I were living in Russia right now. This place is going in the shitter real fast when we can't seem to do better than this guy.
I'll make my point with three quotes from this years debates.
"Want some wood?"
"Well, actually, he forgot Poland."
"I sure hope it wasn't the administration."
Anyone that can tell me that this fucking guy is qualified to run a McDonalds let alone our country after watching the debates this year is either deaf, dumb, blind, or some combination of the three.
Not if the damn key server is slashdoted! :-)

1.) Lull all the Microsoft haters into a false sense of security.
2.) ???
3.) Profit!

Has Aquafina tried this anywhere with water?

All these things play into it.

Where do I sign up to be one of these "armed persons"?
- Kevin
Some good points here as well.
I don't see why you couldn't have several purchase "plans" (God help us). $20 could get you like 5 or 10 albums worth a month or something like that?
- Kevin
As a matter of fact, I have. But we're not talking about P2P shared radio here, now are we?
- Kevin
Very well said. Lots of good points.
Now, if we could only get the people at the record labels to enrole for Marketing 101.
- Kevin
Wait, when did this turn into a Microsoft discussion? Damn you hippy linux freaks!
*snickers*

Money For People.
A wonderful gesture, for sure!
- Kevin
I have no idea what the hell you're talking about there... but, my argument is that you're either over reacting, lazy, or both.
I might also argue that you need a course in English, logic, or both. (Sorry, I jest. Don't take it too personally.)

This is pretty dramatic if you ask me.

Pizza's what? Pizza's toppings? Pizza's sauce? Oh, I know! Pizza's crust!
You were so close too. You had me laughing right up until the end.

There's a http://www.google.com/ie/ as well. I did not know that. I see nothing for opera or safari though.

The jackass is hardly impressive.

ISV = Oxymoron when you're talking about Windows.
- Kevin
Yes, I know what it "should have been", but then it would have been the same old boring "In Soviet Russia" joke.

the decompiler compiles you!
Er... um...
the compiler decompiles you!
Er...
the java decompiles itself!
Ah, whatever.
