    They often have regional pay scales. They'll gladly hire you to work there for less money then someone in an expensive area.

    Correct. You are paying more, but less likely to realize it. Covering the increased shipping cost as well.

    Aren't (a) and (d) the same thing? Also you described most major cities in most states and small towns in lots of states.

    NASA is working on making a shape that mimics the flight maneuver. So the idea is if they design the plane correctly the sonic boom should have less of the crack crack sound and more of a curve to the booms making the sounds less obtrusive. NOVA had a documentary about the Concorde recently and this was covered in the end of it. Boeing is working on it too.

  17. That's a pretty incorrect comment. Movie theaters have manatee and weekday cheaper tickets that sell out and people buy lots of concessions. There are cheap theaters near me that show movies a few months old and they make all their money on concessions. People want cheaper tickets.

    I know I would like the ability to remove the battery and have a completely shut off device. Or if I go camping to have a spare battery or two versus have power cells which I have to have a cord for etc etc.

    Doesn't sound like you went through the OnDemand type service your friend has. I have every channel, between just the movie channels like FX, HBO, STARS, etc you're going to find something. Through TV it's got almost everything from the current season of any show, plus backlogs of tons especially on premium networks.

    Verizon was also formed from them as well. It created competition. Heck, AT&T was bought by Cingular Wireless.

    Seems like they need Molten Salt reactors, and didn't India recently accomplish getting power to huge amounts of people? I know not everyone, but still. I think many could run heat off of electric, especially if it was cheap nuclear. Same with most of the developed world.
