What they're doing is merely annoying. What is actually far worse is trying to obfuscate the actual issue by issuing a mea culpa speaking to 'GPS signals' -- rather than an open admission of what they were doing and why.

    And this somehow okay?

The cover-up is almost always worse than the actual deed.

"No such thing except death and taxes. No fundamentals, not a good company any more. What's going on, Bud? You know something? Remember there are no shortcuts, son. Quick buck artists come and go with every bull market, but the steady players make it through the bear market. You're a part of something here, Bud. Yeah but when the NWO and/or Illuminati take over, banks will be the first places hit.

So really, what you want to do is buy an abandoned ICBM silo, and setup an off-grid server farm powered by hidden solar panels. You'll want to install a faraday cage around the premises to protect against tempest attacks on your data. This also has the added benefit of keeping the armed guards from accidentally (Or intentionally! Remember, you'll want to vet these people carefully before hiring. NDA's are a must.) revealing anything via their cell phones

All this conversation about "yeah but if your house burns down" or "there's a flood, as an angry Jehova demonstrates his wrath; crashing calamity and woe down on our heads from on high".. recovering a few family photos or home movies you'll never likely watch again will be at the absolute bottom of your list of priorities.

This will be refuted; but talk to anyone who's lived through that and they'll tell you the same thing "i'm just lucky to be alive".

For personal stuff, just worry about your backup solution handling the most common, nuisance level failures: user error, hardware failure, and software bugs -- aka, even a local copy on an external drive is more than enough almost all the time.

    a) don't see the connections between their field of study, and others -- kind of a silo effect
    b) have a high level of expertise in one field, and can speak with authority on that topic, but foolishly believe that it carries over to everything else.

  12. Government and their tax schemes are kind of like parasites; only instead of trying to exploit a biological niche, they find any economic activity they can -- and try to extract something from it.

    Income tax, fine
    Property tax, fine
Sales tax fine (though it's good to live in Oregon sometimes!)
Auto Registration .... (it's a tax, no matter how you slice it) .... the list goes on pretty much endlessly.

Only slightly surprised IRS goons don't show up and shut down lemonade stands because johnny jr didn't up.

Taxes aren't inherently bad, they do fund necessary services. But dear jesus.. spend the money more wisely and perhaps nonsense like this wouldn't be necessary.

Well clerics and financial analysts are totally different, but I think i can help answer.

Clerics usually wear plate armor, run around with scepters/maces (really any kind of blunt weapon). They're sort of like paladins, just slightly less full of themselves and 'muh chivalry'. They're also pretty much zealots, in their fanatical worship of Rodcet Nife (or Innoruuk, if evil).

SO for skills, they must be good at casting complete heal, and running to remote places to resurrect people. Also keeping a supply of peridots and other gems on hand is a must.. So good inventory management for sure.

Financial analysts.. they're like halflings, right? No one cares about halflings. Go back to Rivervale and stay there you hairy footed bastards.
