If you want a third party upgraded laptop, MCE is selling iBooks equipped with DVD-R/CD-R optical drives.
There was another company back in the day who's name skips my mind, but they also sold upgraded Macs until Apple gave them the cease and desist. So I would expect the same thing to happen here eventually.
iTunes is currently being developed for Windows. It will support the iTunes music store. This isn't secret information. As well, they plan an expanding it into Europe.
Of course, that's not EVERYONE, but it's a good start.
Real still offers the free player. They just make it hard to find on the site, as they always have. Typically, 99% of the site is a bunch of big graphics and text advertising their free services, and some font size=1 text with a link to the "Basic Player".
I can't even remember a time when the Basic player was easy to find on the website.
Here are the links to download the free player:
Because I have a strong feeling this is going to be asked:
For those of you who were wondering, you too can switch off one of your Mac's dual CPU's with the Apple CHUD Tools. Look near the bottom of the page. It'll make you appreciate your second processor;)
Personally though, I want to see how well it runs Seti@Home.
This was to be expected, as Netcraft recently reported that the already beleaguered Linux Router Project had really low numbers, consistent with the number of Usenet posts.
In all seriousness though, it's sad to see a good project go.

According to logic, this gives us all things that are Unix and are not Unix is one package. Therefore, all things in the universe are now a part of Unix, and open source.
really the last huge Mac application that wasn't ported to OS X. Now the brand new Macs at my school's newspaper can actually use the OS they were meant to run.
I don't recall the name of the guy who runs Quark, but he was always known for talking about how the Mac is "a dying platform". He can also be seen making first post's to slashdot stories regarding BSD and Netcraft.
A PeopleSoft employee, and I can tell you that we aren't selling to Oracle.
Acquiring JD Edwards is going to make us #2 in the field, and Oracle #3, which is why Ellison wants to take us over, kill our product, and terminate all of our jobs.
Craig Conway (PeopleSoft CEO) has already told all of us that he won't let "Ellison kill PeopleSoft".
On top of all that, the offer made to PeopleSoft by Oracle per share is now lower than the price it's trading at. Take that into account, plus what the company will be worth after acquiring J.D. Edwards, and Oracle won't be able to convince the shareholders to go along with it.
He gave us the original Apple, the Blue Box, and spends his free time teaching computers to children.
By the way, Apple-History.com has tons of data on every computer Apple ever built, including the Apple ][. Definitely an awesome place to get the specs.

He's going to be sued for this.
Less Than Jake is performing. As well, they are giving away 250 iSight cameras.
Work units are ~300 kilobytes a piece, or at least thats how much the client downloads.
Actually, Nermal was a boy. I know, it's hard to believe, but this was actually documented in one particular Garfield comic.
The cartoon gave him a girl's voice, and he's an feminine looking cat.

So yeah, it's there, you just have to look carefully. I'm not sure whether this is smart marketing or not, but they've always done it this way.

Traffic tickets do not stop people from driving badly. Raising traffic ticket rates does not stop people from driving badly.
Similarly, I really don't think this is going to stop p2p. No matter how big a sue-fest they go on, people are going to do it.
If they want to stop p2p they're going to need a new strategy...or is the point of this just to get enough money to formulate said strategy?

Such as one of AT&T's older one's allows unlimited EVERYTHING for $100/month. As long as you don't use the net on your phone.
It sounds like a lot, but if you split the phone amongst two people, and have lots of friends across the country, it's a good deal.
What if tonight, the evangelism war could be over? Isn't that work coding for? Isn't...that...worth...debugging for?

They cite competition from Safari as the reason for this decision
The best part is, Safari isn't done yet.
"The press launched a campaign to stop showing the movie, saying that it reflects Zionist ideas, and promotes Jewish and Zionist beliefs."
I think that quote speaks for itself.

This whole time I've been using my Airport network in the fake, alternate-universe world? Freaky.
The one problem though, is that this device runs at about 15,000 Kelvin.
Wait, now that I think about it, that would really teach those damn kids to stop messing around.
Who wants to buy me a nice shiny patent?
I wonder, will this show up on eBay like so many other patents?
