    don't you think you should have come
    up with some testable predictions
    that move science forward?

    It takes some big ones to push a new science
    when they coudn't think of anything new
    based on it.

    of the bugs will be in the dynamic behaviours.

    Not a good sign. Booting should be one of the
    solidest part of the system. If it's bailing
    it's likely that some piece of hardware is
    giving it the no go. That usually doesn't
    correct itself.

    That's kind of the point, that you don't
    know if something is reliable. With 2 boards
    they could watch each other in case something
    funky happened. As this is vxworks you know
    that will happen.

    Companies routinely ask their employees for
    stuff to patent. As employees get money for
    patents there is a lot of pressure to pattent
    any old thing. You are also encouraged not
    to consider prior art. The result is predictable.

    requirements? We have just been through
    a major evaluation of linux and this arena
    and didn't use linux for this reason.

    rather than milliseconds before it can become
    usable as a platform.

    Rail is good for long distances but i really
    doesn't work intra city. Very few people use
    them because you have to drive to the rail
    then get to work somehow. That's not very practical.
    I'd like to see massive fleets of small efficeint
    busses that can provide point to point service.

    for TV shows. It didn't save that much money
    as i remember. 10% or so. But it was enough
    to make a difference.

    From reading the posts it sounds like if you
    use the right keyboard, the right pressure,
    take breaks, have the right posture, etc then you'll be ok.

    All those preconditions sounds like there's a
    lot of risk to me. Rock climbing is safe if
    you do X, Y, Z. But if you don't, you are
    screwed.

    anyone seriously suggests the idea then
    they can be refuted with "oh, that's just

    movie is just another part of the simulation.
