Since the death of Jobs, the quality of their products has done down while the price goes up.
I see no definable vision on any front. Just minor tweaks, which seem to focus on selling new cords and adapters. And Lotus called, the 1-2-3 division wants commissions on the unimaginative and idiotic iPhone dongles.
As long as the cash rolls in, there is no compelling need for them to change.
like an artist and they show up no matter where you are. feel like listening to genre X?, well that artist in genre A you once liked is going to come up every third track regardless of how out of place it is.
I found this place oh so long ago, all the other sites I was paying attention to then have mostly passed on. Mostly lurking, looking for some tidbit of sanity not available anywhere else. when has an iOS update NOT caused older devices to flake out?
seems it's a conscious decision on the part of apple to drive sales, but doubling the batting drain is really giving the middle finger to the customer base

I picked up Slackware 3.0 in late 1995, and happily got it to install on my home-assembled desktop. Once installed I didn't have a clue what to do with it, but it wasn't from Redmond, and that was a major victory. I tried many other distros over the years, Slackware opened a big door I didn't really know existed at the time.
He has been receiving security briefings. I have been hearing lots of people say that he's emailing himself details of all the fabulous tremendously important secret knowledge, you would not believe.
