Sure you may suggest that, but what I was trying to point out was that the people are quick to blame the Military/Government for this when in fact the company Tri-Care was contracted by the military because they, the military, can not afford to give up the manpower and the resources to do all the tasks. They can't even dedicate the recourses to ensure that the job is being completed correctly and safely. The fact that they outsourced this work because they can't do it themselves should be evident that they can't supply a Quality Assurance team to make sure the contractors have the best security.

In fact how many people here even go to a local council meeting, or city meeting? Oh well this isn't a politics story it's about conservatism, or the conservatism of the governments medical ideas. This also has surpassed the programmers expectations. It also can lead to an interesting point that sometimes the developers do not want to spend so much time supporting/developing for the game. Sure the fans help, and it is the fans that make their material free to use. There are plenty of talented CGI people and programmers, they just don't want to devote their entire life for peanuts and a divorce.

I personally always look at the "other" games. The ones made by a common Jane/Joe. It is kinda of like going to the old theater on campus and seeing what the no-name director/artist can do. Sure graphics is great, but so is the game play. For instance look at Neverwinter Nights. The capabilities are amazing, not to try to sell it, but you can pretty much add anything you want to your modules, sound, graphics, tile sets, scripts, and even more. Granted to really cruddy part is the the tool-set is for Windows only. Just think of is a a fact that this game was in development for 3-4 years before Linux started entering the scene. Any how the main point is that most of the games that live so longer are due to the fans. They are the ones creating the materials and keeping it going. The businesspeople have already made their money so they could careless about the continuing life-unless they see a sequel out of it.

I'm not trying to say they are evil, I think MS uses evil business tactics, but then again would other people who wanted to stay on top? I was really wondering since Red Hat can be technically called the biggest monetary power house in the Linux community, are they using this power to "enforce" their standards. Sure they don't need anyones permission and I can use what Distro I like, BUT since they have a great market share already and most non-techs tend to keep loyalties more than others, It will be easier to acquaint your customers, correct that PAYING customers to your standards. Because the one thing that will start happening, and we have seen RedHat do it, is that they will start catering to these users, ex-windows users who are used to getting things their way by complaining about this or that. Users who have been using Linux for two years but still can't use lp in the CLI. This is not meant as a lash out or an insult, just a question of motive. If you bring too many of these half users on board you will ask for allot more than you have ever bargained for, and will start making a distro to make it easier for them, and focus less on the real applications.

My point was that a lot of people claim they don't even have five minute to write an email, but they have a couple of our to go out with friends or family. I was not saying to rip your life apart and totally dedicate to a cause that is just plain useless, instead just take five minutes here or there and write a letter read sometime, voice you opinion at the right place. Just to make a little change takes a little change not one dramatic change for a week or a month and then revert back.
