folks that had AT&T before Comcast took them over there area still have access to the old nntp server that is cap free. I read somewhere (probably here) that this will last through December.
You're probably right. It was a few months ago. I was mostly suprised by the groups of 4. It was a large outdoor display probably 10' x 10' made of 25 , 2' x 2' panels that had some huge power chords going in the sides.
If this passes I guess they could roundup the executives of AT&T, Time/AOL, Comcast, etc. for offering and running usenet servers that offer access to music and movies newsgroups. They're sharing with us right?
I agree. Downloading music off the internet drives computer sales, high speed internet services, portable music players, car stereos that can play MP3s, CDR & DVDR burners, and blank media sales.
The 10 CDs that I use to buy a year for $140 have been replaced by $40 a month internet service, a $1500 3 year computer replacment cycle, spindles of CDR, and a $600 Pioneer car stereo to listen to my MP3 collection.
I think in the future music will be given away to drive sales of more expensive products. Just like TV shows. Companies give the content away but you still have to buy a $300 box to view it.
But to stay within the theme, Linux could solve all of the fast food industry's problems. Perhaps what we really need is someone to port Linux to a GNU/deep fryer. Make sure it has a pictograph based installer.
I disagree. I think literacy and problem solving skills are more important to the software engineering community than the fast food industry. Sure anyone can write software that has been trained to. I think the costs associated with training a fast food employee versus a competent software engineer are beyond compare.
It's all about support right? I'm sure any 2.4.2 kernel would be fine. Supporting every distro under the sun would probably be a cost issue on their end.
As I went through my various puzzle game phases, so did my dreams; Tetris, Dr. Mario, and Super Puzzle Fighter. Tetris is still the standby, I didn't even buy a PS2 till I knew I could get a quality Tetris title.
You can buy or long term lease enough robots to cover your average demand and then short term lease more robots to cover your seasonal demand.

On NPR this morning in Chicago they reported that this cameras will work on guns with silencers too. They didn't elaborate, but they did say it.
You are eaten by a grue.

Floating eye corpse?
The only large LED display I've seen up close used quads of

I vote for taser like functionality.

They use Segways at Disney World behind the scenes to travel distances that a single person might have used a golf cart to travel in the past.
Don't forget cereal. You can't forget cereal.

Perhaps they meant "fiscal month of November" or "retail month of November" :)
>some derivative of an artificial blood plasma, I believe, which is made by 3M) So if you were to shoot it, it would bleed?
.par files on the grandest scale.
Computer games may disappear, but I doubt it. As long as some of us spend 8+ hours a day in a cubicle we are going to need distractions from our jobs.
I wouldn't worry about computer games disappearing until they stop developing console games on PCs.
Watch out for popups on this site.
Isn't that a matter of gender versus sex? Do you assign gender to things in your life that can't reproduce?
