There are other problems that will happen as Simputer wretsles its way into market. First, Microsoft is very popular in India, not important why. Second, and much important, is the problem of corruption. To reach the sales goals for a $200 system, Simputer are going to have to have political friends, and that I just cannot see happening. Corruption is so ingrained in Indian government there are even special laws to address it. Microsoft is not unique, just uniquely wealthy.

I'm damned tired of you taxpayers poking your nose into how I waste, errr I mean spend, your money. If you'd all just die now, it would make my career that much easier.

To provide a forum in which to discuss our technology direction and address any questions you may have, we will have Information Technology staff members available to meet with citizens at 8:30 am on Monday July 8th.

I'm gonna have enough MCSEs at that meeting to outnumber you commie hippy Linonuts two-to-one. And Microsoft plans on having every OEM and VAR in the valley there too.

Please RSVP your attendance so we can ensure that adequate facilities are available for the meeting.

I'm making sure that most of the audience will be Microsoft shills, and the place will be so crowded by sunrise you won't even get inside. There'll be enough of us make you look pretty stupid if this gets on TV. But it probably won't.

Extended phone and cable outages are the norm, mainly because they don't have enough techs after the last round of layoffs. The only adequately staffed department in either company is the collections division.

Funny thing about IE for Apple. It's always been way more standards compliant than IE for Windows. It's not built by the same group at Microsoft, or even around the same code base. And I've always wondered why Microsoft would allow something like that, since it makes a competing O/S look good, and I came to the conclusion that it might be that Apple has better documented APIs than Microsoft. Even inside Microsoft, all the hidden features of the Win32 APIs are probably not widely known.
