Of the 4 times I've been to E3, I've taken my girlfriend 3 times(Didn't know her on my first time).
There's always some good stories of people's shock when they realize she's not a babe or some booth worker(She's not bimbo-like, but I guess anything with boobs can be considered one).
Like this year, she was playing Vice City PC, and some moderately-old mother(Why was SHE here?) was watching her play it with an open jaw. I guess seeing a woman mow down pedestrains wasn't her thing.
Or two years ago she was testing out some flight chair that moves based on your analog stick, and they used Rogue Squadron to demo it. She got in the chair, started playing(She already got the game at launch) and the guy started telling her how to play, but stopped mid-sentence as she was taking out the towers on the Death Star.
Nintendo foresaw this ahead of time. That's why they comissioned Panasonic to make the Q, instead of leaving NCL to develop it.
The Q plays GameCubes, has an actual GOOD remote control with EJECT and POWER buttons, plays region-free DVDs, MP3s and VCDs without mods. The only reason you would need to mod it is to play import games.
I don't have one, but I assume it works better than the XBox one, which I had trouble playing my collection with, especially since it alienates my whole VCD collection.
Nintendo's profits up. Still selling lot's of the Cube, Sony's profits down 98%, MS cuts staff in Japan, but they just have to point out Nintendo's loss? What IS IT with people to overlook everyone else and just laugh at Nintendo, making wads of cash I would love to make, unlike MS losing every day and Sony in a huge moneypit.
I got my Zire71 the week it came out in April. I love it still, and seeing more OS5 devices on the market will only help(Pardon the standard res Treo 600). I never thought I could do so much on a Palm without tying myself down to a PPC.
I guess this guy is lazy. Rather than use ANY raycasting engine with ANY other game, he just took the source to CS, stripped out the guns, and wants to watch retards amble around De_dust and Cs_cock.
After a couple heinekens, my friend was able to full combo World Tour on DDR Extreme. (In non-ddr talk: While drunk, he never missed a single one of 2500 steps in 12 minutes)
WHOAH, that ain't right. Midway was asked by the NFL to tone back the violence in Blitz, so they decided to make all their games more realistic. How can EA get away with this?
Jesus holy christ, there's enough copies of Tetris, in SOME form or another, that if I DELETED THE SOURCE CODE of one a game an hour until Christmas, I'd only be halfway done.
Besides, who actually LIKED those other games Alexey threw together in those MS Software packs? I think in this case, copying would have encouraged him to STOP with that junk.
If kids want the violence, they must read it in the book and foster their imagination.
You read mature books because you can handle it. You play mature games because it makes you giddy like a little school girl. The same content in both mediums delivers different effects and caters to different people.
Picking a Playstation is a bad idea. There's not enough AAA all-ages titles(No ESRB in Europe). But we can't forget that Europe has some Playstation feitsh equivalent to our "Nintendo" as the generic term. Nintendo hates Europe so they've never really pitched in over that area, since the price-fixing argument and everything.
Anyways, BACK TO DEMOGRAPHICS, they should really reconsider their choice, since the Cube has Animal Crossing, Pikin, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Party 4 and nearly every other good wholesome game devoid of violence, blood, cuss words(THPS), and sex appeal.(I play games with that, but there's no place for it in a library)
If I was a parent, I'd rather see my kid playing Pikmin than DOA:X.
Of course, the first thing after buying the console would be getting the FreeLoader, GB Player and 4 Wavebirds. THEN you'd get kids into the library.
The USA culture is a very different society. They want a lot more things than Europeans or the Japanese. Nintendo's ex-president recently gave an interview detailing how violence is something that is more accepted in the USA(GTA, Mortal Kombat) and that in Japan games take on a much lighter note.
Now, I'm a Mario fan, through and through, and I enjoy GTA3 as well, but it disheartens me when Americans dismiss a video game completely on the merits of if you get to beat someone up or not. I'm in college to become a game developer, and I want people to like my games. I just hope I can make something that the USA will like without having gratuitous amounts of blood.
HomestarRunner.com is a good example of how a non-violent medium can attract people, I just hope it goes that way more in the future. (And yes, I know that GTA was made overseas in Europe)

..march into that giant bubbling lava vat in the sky.
I have an original version of SimCopter.
Care to explain the guys on the last level for me?
Making $95 Million last quarter($1 MILLION A DAY) is surely a bad thing! Where Sony's profits are down 98% and XBox is still reporting losses. ...
...
$1,000,000.00 a DAY.
$11.95 a SECOND
That's BAD?

How much longer until someone makes a 2D version of Metroid Prime?

Well, I wouldn't say really drunk, but before the drinks, he was doing really poorly, and after he came back his inhibitions were much lower.
Hardly a niche Player when the GameCube is #2 worldwide, and of top 100 games in Japan, Nintendo published more than anyone else.
After a couple heinekens, my friend was able to full combo World Tour on DDR Extreme.

Hiroshi Yamauchi already stated that Nintendo's next handheld will AT LEAST be 320x200 and have a higher color palette.
This isn't going to help overseas. The XBox needs more traditional japanese RPGs if they want to appeal to more than just Americans.
For as much as XBox owners talk about DOA3 I see it lacking. The moves feel predetermined and it's more about presentation than skill or work.
Seeing CvS2 on the XBox was also a disappointment with the laggy online fights and horrible controls.
You want gaming bliss? Import Soul Calibur 2 for the GameCube and get a Hori pad for it. Now THAT'S a real fighting game.
It seemed more like a description and less of a real one. It could also have been late when I read the article.
I would have expected something more like Omikron Persei 8 or Alpha Centauri. Methusalah doesn't fit the name of the oldest planet.
It fails to mention a name, unless I'm crazy.
Psst. The XBox ain't doing so hot in Korea either. It's doing extremely pitiful. Less than 40,000 sold(two months ago) since release.
And what is Peter Moore's plan to improve the XBox in the East? Release more American games..
*sigh*

Ah, you see it wrong.

I still hate all those XBox fanboys who insist Unreal Championship ISN'T UT2K3. Honestly, who do they think they are fooling?
So will Unreal 2 be "Unreal Legacy" or some stupid thing?
There's always hope or a way around.
If not, I'll find something else.
Geeks are like flowers, they always pop up through concrete no matter how thick you lay it.
