This comes from a Vermont store, the only state to successful secede from the union. Granted we weren't a state at the time and Massachusetts and New York were fighting over us, but we did declare ourselves independent.
In general if more states had the tradition of selfgovernment that vermont schools teach we would be in a better situation in general. I'm amazed at how many people in New York and New Jersey aren't taught the basic principles of government and I can understand why they are so jaded because of that.
State and Local History is just as important as World and National History.
The last Dune Series was great... sure if you had watched the Lynch movie it wasn't the same, but Paul Atreides was cast better in the series than in the movie and all in all the casting was better.
I'm looking forward to seeing this must convince the housemates to TiVo it...
Under 18 = no rights anyway, so why bother... now if they start tracking our purchases and making us out to be terrorists because we bought violent games that could be used for terrorist training that would be another question entirely...
I usually have the opposite reaction to people with certificates, not that this is everyone but in most cases I find that those who have A+ and Network+ certificates have them to get a job, not because they are good at their job. Just having those certificates does not make you a good tech, it just means you can take a test.
There's nothing better than a robotic bartender. One of my buddies in high school 'borrowed' a robotic arm and tried to do this, if only we'd had Lego Mindstorm...
Also don't forget he is a plagiarist. I hate Jar Jar, not only because he is the most annoying character ever, but because Jar Jar and the whole Gundam race are ripped off from Larry Elmore. If you ever get a chance read SnarfQuest, a great comic from Dragon Magazine in the late 80's to early 90's. After you read it, tell me Snarf != Jar Jar, I'm sure you'll agree with me.
I would have to agree with your point about most homes being able only get cable service from one provider. Personally, I believe cable companies are one of the most disgusting monopolies in this country. The rates they charge 1) seem utterly random 2) change every month. However you do have a choice in some areas, you can choose DSL or cable and generally if you are able to choose DSL, you can choose one of a few DSL providers (XO and Earthlink to name a couple). Yes I know they run off the same telco, however the services they provide do change based on the DSL reseller.
I, personally, am very happy with my cable provider, Optonline
I'd like to throw in my viewpoint on this entire idea. I attended college for three and a half years (yes I know, 3 1/2 years? Why didn't you just finish! Lets just say I was halfway through my Junior year at that point). I am currently working as an NT admin (insert antiMS comments here) and I originally started as a part time help desk guy at this company. One of the downfalls of not having a degree is the opportunity to advance farther in the company have not been as easy(?) as it is for others with degrees. My goal is to move towards IT management and I know I need a degree for this. If you are happy staying as a sysadmin for your career then by all means take the no college route. Myself, I would recommend college for the fact that it teaches you how to interract with others. Also the contacts you make in college are beficial to your career later in life.

Storing Sodium is not all that difficult. I believe you would store it in a brown glass bottle immersed in methanol. However, don't quote me on this because its been years since I actually practiced chemistry.
I like the idea, can we put some in KFC as well?

Who would believe that the guy who designed this would be in a conversation with the girl in the screenshots?

Funny, same video drivers pre-XP no problems. After XP problems.
A totally different person has the same problem as me.
But this offtopic and I'm responding to anonymous flamebait, so I digress.

Don't forget it builds the intense hatred of all things Microsoft if you happen to be using the toolset and Windows XP.
'Wow I'm almost done with my amazing module all I have to do is hit save... Damnit, freaking toolset crashed AGAIN?!?!?'
Methinks CodeGuru works for the Keralatourism board.
Seriously, it is a valid point. Sure parts of India are very poor, however it is not true of the entire country.
but I can't read japanese, what are its vital stats?
just get off your lazy arse and delete spam yourself.
The world is supposed to come to an end by 2050 or so anyway, at least according to the WWF...
But that would be banning trade with China, where would the politicians get funding for their campaigns?
Because /. has its finger on the pulse of what's cool on the street.
But its sponsored by the school, it can't be bad!
